Please keep this confidential and do not read on air. Please, I earnestly ask you, could you pray for me? I am struggling with things that arouse me, and this leads to masturbation. I know that this is sin so I pray to God to forgive me.

We hear your heartfelt cry for help and want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The struggle you are facing is not uncommon, but it is important to address it with the truth and love of Scripture. The Bible is clear that sexual immorality, including lustful thoughts and actions such as masturbation when fueled by impure desires, is not pleasing to God. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, we are reminded, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*

First, we want to acknowledge your repentance and your desire to turn away from this sin. That is a crucial step, and we praise God for the conviction He has placed in your heart. However, true repentance also involves turning away from the sin and seeking God’s strength to walk in purity. In 1 John 1:9, we read, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* God’s forgiveness is available to you, but we must also actively pursue holiness.

We encourage you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind. Flee from temptation by avoiding situations, images, or thoughts that arouse you. Fill your mind with Scripture and godly pursuits. Philippians 4:8 says, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report—if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."* Replace impure thoughts with the truth of God’s Word.

We also urge you to seek accountability. Find a trusted brother in Christ who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable in your walk. James 5:16 tells us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* You do not have to fight this battle alone—God has provided the body of Christ to support and strengthen you.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who is struggling with impurity. Lord, we thank You for his honesty and his desire to walk in Your ways. We ask that You would forgive him for any sin and cleanse him from all unrighteousness. Father, we pray that You would strengthen him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the power to resist temptation and flee from sexual immorality. Fill his mind with Your truth and help him to meditate on Your Word day and night. Surround him with godly men who can encourage and hold him accountable. Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds or lies that may be contributing to this struggle and replace them with Your love and truth. Help him to see himself as You see him—a beloved child, bought with the precious blood of Jesus. We pray that You would give him victory over this sin and lead him into a life of purity and holiness. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Remember, victory is possible through Christ who strengthens you. Keep pressing into God, and do not grow weary in doing what is right. You are not defined by this struggle, but by the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. Keep fighting the good fight, and trust that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up before our loving Father. We appreciate your honesty and your desire to break free from this struggle. We want to encourage you with a verse that's given us strength in tough times: "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Let's remind ourselves that God is right there with us, offering a way out. It's not about our strength, but His. We need to lean into Him, trust Him, and ask for His help moment by moment.

Let's also remember that God sees you through the lens of Jesus' sacrifice. You're His beloved child, and He's cheering you on. You're not alone in this fight. The Holy Spirit is with you, empowering you to say 'no' to sin and 'yes' to righteousness.

Let's pray together: "Lord, thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help ### to trust in Your strength, not their own. Help them to recognize and resist temptation, and to turn to You in every moment. Fill their mind with Your truth and help them to walk in Your ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
