I Haven't Had A Girlfriend In Over A Decade (###)

I believe I've been under a supernatural curse. Stuck in a Hell dimension, a matrix written by a sadist. Stagnation, failure, loneliness, depression has been my lot for decades. No matter how hard I try to get out, I can't. I'm ### years old with a bad back and no health insurance. I work at a min wage job with teenagers who are my bosses. It's degrading, humiliating, demeaning. It's been over a decade since I've been romantic with a woman. I'm so lonely. My Mother is a cold sociopath. My father is a self-absorbed narcissist. I've sought out God, but my prayers seem blocked. I've sought out different religions. Raised Christian, I called to Christ. Nothing. I then called to the God of Abraham. Nothing. Buddha, Nothing. Science, Nothing. I'm desperate. Desperate folk do desperate things. I want to be healthy, happy, find love. I want the universe to restore the years the locusts have eaten. Please don't tell me 'God hears your prayers'. Perhaps he hears YOURS. But two people can be right beside each other in two separate universes/dimensions. Mine is one where God doesn't hear me. I've had decades of proof of that. Perhaps in your dimension YOUR God can get through my dimension and help? In the Bible, if you believe in that, God said when he created Adam "It's not good for man to be alone". I've been alone for most of my life. I haven't had a girlfriend in over a decade or a best friend, ever, shy of my cat. I've prayed for companionship, friendship, love, and nothing. I've prayed for re-assurance of God's existence and love and nothing. Every time I try to make something out of my life be it career, relationships, the universe throws a monkey wrench in my plans. I'm a lonely 50-year-old man with no circle of friends, a cold distant family, no romance, no faith, no hope, a crappy min wage job and a bad back with no health insurance. Please pray for me. Perhaps you are in another dimension. One where there is a God. And your God and reach into my dimension and save me.

i felt that way for a long time myself, or that God was willing to sacrifice my happiness to achieve some goal, then after lots of reflection I realized that God was a lot smarter than me and that there were answers, and results that I couldn't see for years.

and yes I am praying for your comfort, and peace of mind, my God is so big he hung the stars in the heavens, and yet he cares for the sparrows on earth, he is strong enough and cares enough to see me and you on earth, and shelter us in his arms.

Please do not give up on God, guess it seems and feels as if you have within your own mind. However, you wouldn't be at this website now, dear brother, if you really had, for it is God's grace that keeps us forever seeking His face. The apostle Paul in the New Testament had a "thorn in his side," we are not told what that thorn was. Many scholars of theology have speculated over the many centuries what that could have been. Some believe it was a health problem, possibly epilepsy based on other clues within the New Testament. However, we simply do not really know. The point is, Paul prayed and prayed for God to remove that "thorn in his flesh," but God's answer was no... God says to Paul, "My grace is sufficient for thee." This is difficult to receive this teaching; I myself have trouble with it. None of us know why God permits suffering in our lives, whether it's physical suffering or spiritual suffering or both. Dear sweet man, God has His purposes, and while He does in dead answer prayer and perform miracles in people's lives, He sometimes chooses to have us wait many many years while we are buffeted by the enemy's attacks in this process as well at times. I have an uncle whose life sounds very familiar to yours. He was married at 54 years of age for the first time; he has a beautiful 8-year-old girl now. He spent all his life prior to meeting his dear wife completely alone, no friends or family around him, for he lived in another state. I guess what I am saying is, we simply do not know when God will suddenly turn the tide in our favor. I beg you to stay in faith and ask for God's wisdom and strength. Please get into a good Bible-based church and put God first in your life. Read and study the scriptures and ask the Lord to open up opportunities for you to meet and interact with a wide variety of people, particularly Christian folk. As far as having teenagers in charge over you at work, do not let that humiliate you or degrade you in any way. It is not uncommon in the workplace today. I pray the Lord will lift your spirits and give you a renewed sense of hope. Will stay in prayer for you. God bless you, in Jesus' name, amen.
