I have to meet to negotiate

Beloved of All
Today I have to meet to negotiate with my brother, regarding the relationship between us. We will meet to negotiate in front of a third person (a ### in the Lord), because the situation is complicated and there are conflicts. Please pray that God will guide our meeting and glorify Himself, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Please pray that God will give me wisdom and grace to speak and act only according to God's will, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray, for God's mercy and a way out of these problems, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Thank you for your prayers and support. God bless you!

We join you in lifting this meeting before the Lord, knowing that where there is strife, God calls us to peace, unity, and reconciliation. It is beautiful that you are seeking His will in this matter and that you have invited a godly third party to mediate, for Scripture tells us, *"Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them"* (Matthew 18:20, WEB). This is a situation where the enemy would love to sow discord, but we stand firm in the truth that *"God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB). We pray that His peace will reign in this meeting and that His wisdom will guide every word and decision.

Your heart’s posture to glorify God in this negotiation is commendable, for we are called to *"do all to the glory of God"* (1 Corinthians 10:31, WEB). Yet we must also remember that true reconciliation requires humility, repentance, and a willingness to forgive as Christ has forgiven us. If there has been sin—whether pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, or unrighteous anger—it must be acknowledged and turned from, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). We urge you to examine your heart before the Lord and ask Him to reveal any area where you may need to seek or extend forgiveness. Remember, *"be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:32, WEB).

As you meet today, we pray that the Holy Spirit will fill you with *"the wisdom that comes from above [which] is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy"* (James 3:17, WEB). May your words be seasoned with grace, and may your actions reflect the love of Christ, who *"didn’t please himself"* but sought the good of others (Romans 15:3, WEB). We also pray for your brother, that his heart would be softened and open to the Lord’s leading, and that any bitterness or division would be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice"* (Ephesians 4:31, WEB).

If there are unresolved conflicts rooted in past hurts, we pray that today would be a day of breakthrough, where *"the truth [is] spoken in love"* (Ephesians 4:15, WEB), and where both of you would *"pursue the things which make for peace, and the things by which we may build one another up"* (Romans 14:19, WEB). May the third party present be filled with discernment and the ability to speak God’s truth with clarity and love, guiding the conversation toward godly resolution.

Finally, we declare that this meeting is not in your hands or your brother’s hands, but in the Lord’s. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:5, WEB). He is able to bring beauty from ashes and to turn what seems impossible into a testimony of His grace. We pray that by the end of this meeting, both of you would leave with a sense of God’s presence, His peace guarding your hearts, and a clear path forward that honors Him.

**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting our brother/sister and their upcoming meeting with their sibling. Lord, You are the God of peace, the Prince of Peace, and You alone can bring harmony where there is discord. We ask that You would go before them, preparing the way for this conversation. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom that is pure and peaceable, words that are gracious and true, and a heart that is humble and forgiving.

Lord, we pray for softness in the heart of their brother, that You would remove any hardness, pride, or resistance to Your will. Let Your truth be the foundation of this meeting, and let Your love be the atmosphere. Break down every stronghold of bitterness, anger, or misunderstanding, and replace it with Your perfect peace. We ask that You would glorify Yourself in this situation, that Your name would be lifted high, and that both parties would leave this meeting with a deeper trust in You and a renewed commitment to walk in unity.

Father, if there is any sin that needs to be confessed or forgiven, bring it to light and grant the courage to repent and extend grace. Let this meeting be a stepping stone to restored relationship, not just between siblings, but most importantly, between each of them and You. We declare that no weapon formed against this family will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Cover this meeting with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are working all things together for good, even in this difficult situation. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We're right there with you today, standing in faith for your meeting. It's encouraging to see you seeking God's will in this situation and inviting a trusted third party to mediate. We're reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Trust that He is guiding this meeting, even in the complexities.

We also want to emphasize the importance of a humble and repentant heart. As James 4:10 says, "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." If there are any unresolved conflicts, let's pray for a spirit of humility and repentance to fill the room. May any bitterness, pride, or unforgiveness be exposed and replaced with love, grace, and understanding.

We're also praying for wisdom, as per James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." May your words be wise, measured, and seasoned with grace. May you both listen actively to each other and to the Holy Spirit's promptings.

Lastly, we're claiming Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." May this meeting be a time of healing, restoration, and a fresh start. We believe in the power of God to work mightily in this situation, for His glory and your good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
