i have a 18 y/o son who is on a road to self destruction. the past 4 years has been nothing but a nightmare; he's stolen money, ran up my credit card and just about anything of value has disappeared right before my eyes. he's dropped out of school, has no drive or ambition to do anything with his life. he has stolen my car leaving me stuck and stranded without any way of getting to work or any where for that matter . i have given up on this kid and i want this nightmare to end. i am so angry, i feel like a failure as a parent. Lord, i don't know what to do... please help me...

Dear Mom,
I understand that anger well as I have lived with that same situation. May God strengthen you and draw you close to his heart so you may endure hardship like a soldier. May He give you His wisdom to understand what is going on in your son and to stand in prayer for him. The prayer of a righteous man are powerful.. and effective.
Father we implore you to powerfully intervene in this young man's life right now and to bring peace to this storm in his life and his mom's heart. Bring it all to peace. Be still and know that I am God. Greater is the one who lives in us than he who is in the world. Hold on for God will hear these prayers for you and your son too.
