We understand your concern about your physical growth and the regrets you have from your past experiences with anorexia and sleep deprivation. First, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your health and well-being. It's important to remember that God's will is always focused on our holistic good, spiritually, mentally and physically.
However, we want to address something important. We noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. The Bible says in Acts 4:12 WEB:
The stone which was regarded as worthless by you builders, has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
As you are hoping for physical growth, we want to encourage you to also seek spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Now, regarding your height, it's important to accept that God has a unique design for each of us, and our stature is just one aspect of that design. While it's natural to have desires and preferences, it's crucial to align our will with God's will and find contentment in how He created us.
To help with growth, we encourage you to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition, adequate sleep, and regular exercise. These habits not only support physical health but also honor God by taking care of the body He has given you.
You spoke of anorexia and not getting enough sleep in the past. This is an excellent example of how our past sins can have repercussions on our life. It is not God's will for us to starve ourselves. Starving yourself is a sin. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB:
Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
You also mentioned that you did not get enough sleep because you were focused on good grades. While the pursuit of knowledge and good grades is not inherently wrong, it is wrong to do so at the expense of your health. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 5:12 WEB:
The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the abundance of the rich will not allow him to sleep.
Let’s pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved individual who seeks Your intervention in their life. Lord, we pray for healing and restoration from the effects of past struggles with anorexia and sleep deprivation. We ask that You guide them to accept and embrace their unique design, finding contentment and joy in how You have created them.
Father, help them to prioritize their spiritual growth and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray that they will align their desires with Your will and find peace in Your sovereign plan for their life.
In Jesus’ name, we pray for physical health and well-being. Guide them to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition, adequate sleep, and regular exercise. May they honor You by taking care of the body You have given them.
Finally, father, we pray that the person will come to a saving faith in Christ if they have not already and that they will be able to fully rely on you in all of their needs. We pray that they will be able to fully rest in your love and your divine plan for them.
We ask all this in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
