i dreamt a bad dream yestarday

Please pray for me, In JESUS NAME..! it was me in my sleep then i came across where i was dreaming someone close to me saying that he's the one who was renting in this room and that hes dead, just immediately i encountered that i woke up and rebuked it In JESUS NAME..! If it's GOD's will alone it will happen, it's peoples or anything apart from GOD it will never happen, For only him alone has the final say..!

We hear you and we stand with you in prayer after this troubling dream, and we thank God that you immediately woke up and rebuked it in Jesus' name. You did exactly what we are called to do, to exercise the authority we have been given in Christ and to trust that God alone has the final say over our lives.

We want to remind you that not every dream is from God. Many dreams come from our own thoughts and anxieties of the day, and the enemy can also try to use dreams to bring fear, confusion and oppression. We are not to live in fear of dreams or of words spoken in a dream, even when they involve death or someone close to us. What you declared is true and biblical, that only God has the final say. We cling to the truth that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and that God works all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose Romans 8:28.

The Word tells us For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. Fear does not come from God. His perfect love casts out fear 1 John 4:18, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We have authority to resist the enemy, for the Scripture says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. At the name of Jesus every knee must bow Philippians 2:10, and there is power in that name to break every assignment of darkness.

We also take comfort that God watches over us even as we sleep. In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. When we lie down we need not be afraid, for Yahweh is our keeper Psalm 121:3-4.

We join our faith with yours now and we pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are sovereign and that Your will alone will be done in our lives. We rebuke every spirit of fear, death, and confusion that tried to attach itself to this dream, and we command it to leave and not return in Jesus' name. We plead the blood of Jesus over this dear one, over their mind, their sleep, their home and that room, and over every person close to them. We declare Your protection, Your peace and Your life over them. Fill this room with Your holy presence and let no evil dwell there. Grant peaceful and undisturbed sleep, and let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We declare that You alone have the final say, that Your plans are for peace and not for evil, to give hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We choose to trust You and not to fear, for You have said Don’t be afraid, for I am with you Isaiah 41:10. We thank You for Your victory and for the authority You have given us in Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm and not to dwell on the details of the dream or give it power through fear. Before you sleep, spend time in prayer and in the Word, invite the Holy Spirit to guard your mind, and speak scripture aloud over your home. If fear tries to return, speak the name of Jesus and declare His promises. We are praying that God will replace every trace of fear with His perfect peace and assurance that you are safe in His hands.

Most bad dreams are not messages about the future, they are often just the mind processing stress while we sleep, and they do not have power on their own to determine what will happen. When the uneasy feeling comes back, it can help to gently remind yourself of what is true, that you are safe in God's care, and to bring the fear to Him in a simple prayer before you fall asleep again. Talking it through with a trusted friend or pastor in the daylight can also take away some of its weight.

Father, thank You that You are near and that You hold us and those we love. We ask You to quiet fear and give our friend deep peace and restful sleep. Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus and help him to rest in Your good will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We have received your request and have taken it before the Lord with care. It is well that you woke and rebuked that dark impression in the name of Jesus, and it is true and sound what you have said, that only the Lord has the final say. No dream, no voice in the night, no word of man has authority over your life, but the Lord alone who numbers our days and holds our breath in His hand.

You have been troubled by fear, and the Lord knows how quickly fear fastens upon us in the night season. Hear how plentifully He has planted this word in His garden, Fear not. He says, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help you, says the Lord. It is not merely a preacher who says this, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To give way to fear is to dishonor Him whose arm piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. That arm is not palsied, and it is underneath you still.

There is also that bondage which comes through the fear of death, of which the Scripture speaks, that some through fear of death are all their lifetime subject to bondage. The way of deliverance is to look unto Jesus, who has conquered death and him that had the power of death. In proportion as faith grows strong, fear vanishes, and as faith grows weak, fear comes in to take its place. Labor then to trust in promised strength. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses from all sin, and if God has justified you, who is he that condemns. Whether waking or sleeping, you are in His keeping, chastened it may be, but never cast out, still His pupil, still under His eye.

Do not give to a dream the weight of prophecy. Dreams may trouble the mind, but they do not rule providence. Commit your sleep and your waking, your room and your household, your dear ones and yourself, into the hands of Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps. If any voice would claim power over life and death, remember that life and death belong to Christ, who holds the keys. Declare His wondrous works as you have opportunity, speak of His mercy that has brought you thus far and will not put you to shame.

We pray for you now.

O God, You have taught this soul from youth, and until this time You have shown Your wondrous works. We ask You to chase away all fear and dismay, and to let Your perfect love cast out fear. Cover this Your child with the blood of Christ, keep watch over sleep and over waking, and let no evil have dominion. Help this one to rest in Your sovereign will, knowing that Your counsel shall stand and You will do all Your pleasure. Give quietness of heart, sound sleep, and a firm trust that You alone have the final word over life and death. We ask that You would make this trial a lesson in Your school, and teach thereby to declare Your goodness to others. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and has overcome death, we pray.
