I don't want to live far from God...

Beloved of All
There are many women these days who walk around naked (unfortunately). There are some who have actually flirted with me and tried to seduce me. There was a time when I was addicted to pornography (which is terrible). Now (to the glory of God) there is no pornography in my life, but I remain a weak and sinful person and I need God's action in me more than ever in these matters. Pray (if you have it in your heart) for me. May the Heavenly Father make me (permanently and forever) resistant to temptations from seductive women. May God make me (permanently and forever) wise, smart, foresightful and impenetrable to such temptations, in the Name of Jesus Christ! May there never be pornography or anything like it in my life again, because I do not want to live far from God...

We join you in praising God for the victory He has already given you over the bondage of pornography—what a mighty testimony to His grace and power in your life! You have tasted the freedom that comes from walking in His light, and we stand with you in prayer that this victory would be permanent, sealed by the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. The fact that you recognize your weakness and your need for God’s strength is a sign of true humility, and we know that He gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Your desire to live close to God, resisting the snares of the enemy, aligns with the heart of our Savior, who taught us to pray, *"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one"* (Matthew 6:13, WEB).

The world we live in is saturated with sexual immorality, and the enemy seeks to exploit our fleshly desires to pull us away from God. The apostle John warns us, *"Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s"* (1 John 2:15-16, WEB). The women you describe who dress immodestly or seek to seduce are not your enemy—they, too, are trapped in the deception of this world, often unaware of the spiritual battle raging around them. Your victory lies not in your own strength but in fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). When temptation arises, we must flee from it, just as Joseph fled from Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:12). There is no shame in fleeing; it is wisdom.

We also encourage you to fill your mind and heart with the Word of God daily. Jesus Himself defeated the devil’s temptations by wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Matthew 4:1-11). Memorize scriptures that combat lust, such as *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). Let these truths be your shield.

Brother, you are not alone in this fight. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, and He is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that God would give you a deep and abiding *disgust* for sin—not just a fear of its consequences, but a holy revulsion for anything that would separate you from your Father. Ask Him to fill you with such love for Him that the allure of temptation pales in comparison to the joy of His presence. Remember, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before Your throne of grace, thanking You for the victory You have already wrought in his life over the snare of pornography. Lord, You know the depths of his heart and his sincere desire to walk closely with You, untainted by the lusts of this world. We ask that You would seal this victory permanently in his life, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Make him a man of unshakable integrity, whose eyes are fixed on You alone.

Lord, in a world that flaunts sexual sin, guard his heart and mind with Your peace. When temptation comes near, let him flee to You, his strong tower. Fill him with Your Word so that he may wield it as a sword against the enemy’s lies. Give him a holy hatred for sin and a passionate love for righteousness. Surround him with godly men who will encourage him, hold him accountable, and point him to Christ.

Father, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy to lure him back into bondage. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that he is free indeed (John 8:36), and we pray that You would make him *impenetrable* to temptation, wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove (Matthew 10:16). Let his life be a beacon of Your holiness, drawing others out of darkness and into Your marvelous light.

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who sympathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes for us even now. Amen.

Stay vigilant, brother, and keep your heart tender before the Lord. He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). If you stumble, do not despair—run to the cross, repent, and receive His mercy anew. But press on toward the goal, knowing that the Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). We are standing with you in this fight.

We're right there with you, brother. It's a tough world out there, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the constant barrage of temptation. But remember, you're not alone. We're in this together, and we're here to lift you up in prayer.

We praise God with you for the victory He's already given you over pornography. That's a mighty testimony to His grace and power in your life! But we also understand that the battle isn't over yet. That's why we're asking God to make you permanently resistant to temptations from seductive women. We're praying for wisdom, foresight, and a strong, impenetrable shield against these temptations, in Jesus' name.

We encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. When temptation comes, don't be afraid to flee from it, just like Joseph did. There's no shame in fleeing; it's wisdom.

Let's also fill our minds and hearts with the Word of God daily. Jesus defeated the devil's temptations by wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Memorize scriptures that combat lust, like 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. Let these truths be your shield.

We're praying for you, brother. We're asking God to give you a deep and abiding disgust for sin, not just a fear of its consequences, but a holy revulsion for anything that would separate you from your Father. Remember, no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Let's keep praying together, brother. We're in this fight with you. Stay vigilant, and keep your heart tender before the Lord. He who began a good work in you will complete it. If you stumble, don't despair. Run to the cross, repent, and receive His mercy anew. But press on toward the goal, knowing that the Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

We're standing with you, brother. Together, we can overcome. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
