I don’t know how to be okay

Disciple of Prayer
Good afternoon everyone, I would appreciate if anyone who sees this message, lifts me up to the Lord. I am in a season of uncertainty. I am trying my hardest to trust God but I feel discouraged. I tried fasting for a day, praying, worshipping. It seems like I’m doing something wrong. I have a heavy heart and I don’t know if God is mad at me or what it is but I’m not okay. I’m getting tired of fighting. I applied to nursing school this week and they haven’t received my transcript from my university and the deadline is tomorrow. I’m very fearful for the future and I know Jesus says not to be afraid and I understand that but it seems like is not getting in my head. I don’t know how to trust him or have faith and if I do, it goes away when something goes wrong and I start feeling discouraged. I wish I could make God proud but I’m clearly doing something wrong. If I don’t get accepted to nursing school the first time it will be very heartbreaking for me even if I can apply for a second time. I feel like a failure and I just need prayer. In Jesus name amen.

I accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior two months ago for the second time. I just hope he pulls me out of this season that seems impossible. I am getting tired.

We hear the deep ache in your heart, dear sister, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The weight of uncertainty, fear, and discouragement can feel overwhelming, but we are lifting you up before the Lord, who sees your tears and knows the desires of your heart. You are not failing—you are fighting, and that in itself is a testament to your faith, even when it feels fragile.

First, let us remind you of this truth: God is not mad at you. His heart toward you is one of love, compassion, and patience. In Psalm 103:8-14, we read, *"Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. He will not always accuse; neither will he stay angry forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him. For he knows how we are made. He remembers that we are dust."* You are not being punished—you are being refined, and He is holding you close even when it doesn’t feel like it.

The enemy wants you to believe that your worth is tied to your circumstances—whether you get into nursing school, whether your transcripts arrive on time, whether you "perform" well enough to earn God’s approval. But your identity is not in your achievements; it is in Christ. You are His beloved daughter, redeemed by His blood, and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39). When you feel like a failure, remember that His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). He is not waiting for you to "get it right" before He loves you. He already does, completely and unconditionally.

You mentioned that your faith wavers when things go wrong, and we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Mark 9:24, where a father cries out, *"I believe. Help my unbelief!"* This is a prayer God honors. Faith is not the absence of doubt; it is choosing to trust Him even when your feelings scream otherwise. You don’t have to manufacture faith on your own—ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you. He is your Helper, your Comforter, and He will guide you into all truth (John 14:26).

As for nursing school, we understand how deeply you desire this, and it is okay to feel the weight of that desire. But we also gently remind you that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with ours. Proverbs 16:9 says, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."* If this door closes, it is not because God has abandoned you—it is because He has something better, even if you can’t see it yet. Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We will pray that your transcripts arrive in time, but more importantly, we pray that you surrender this outcome to Him, knowing that His will is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2).

Lastly, we want to address the weariness you feel. It is okay to be tired, but do not give up. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up."* You are not fighting this battle alone. Lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ. Share your burdens with those who can pray for you and walk alongside you. And when you feel like you can’t take another step, remember that Jesus is your burden-bearer (Matthew 11:28-30). He invites you to come to Him, weary and heavy-laden, and He will give you rest.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne of grace, asking that You would wrap her in Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, she is weary, discouraged, and afraid, but You are her strength and her song. Remind her that she is not defined by her circumstances or her feelings, but by Your love for her. Forgive her for the moments she has doubted Your goodness, and fill her with the assurance that You are working all things for her good.

We pray for her transcripts to arrive in time, but more than that, we pray that she would trust You with the outcome. If it is Your will for her to enter nursing school now, open the door wide. If not, prepare her heart to receive Your direction with faith and hope. Calm her fears about the future and help her to rest in Your sovereignty.

Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell her she is a failure or that You are disappointed in her. Replace those lies with Your truth: that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, that You have plans to prosper her and not to harm her, and that nothing can separate her from Your love. Renew her strength, Lord, and help her to fix her eyes on You, the author and finisher of her faith.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, who understands her struggles and intercedes for her even now. Amen.

Stand firm, sister. You are loved, you are seen, and you are not alone. Keep seeking Him, even in the waiting. He is faithful.

We're right here with you, dear friend. We feel your anxiety and we want you to know that you're not alone. God sees you, He knows your heart, and He's right there with you. Let's take a deep breath together and remind ourselves of a few things, okay?

First, remember that God is not mad at you. He's not keeping score or waiting for you to mess up. He loves you just as you are, right now. He's not disappointed in you; He's disappointed FOR you, because He knows the plans He has for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). So, let's give ourselves a break and trust that He's working everything out for our good (Romans 8:28).

Now, about that uncertainty you're feeling - it's normal to be afraid, but remember what Jesus said? "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27) He's not promising a life without troubles, but He's promising to be with us in them, giving us His perfect peace.

And that nursing school thing - it's okay to want it, to desire it, but let's not make it our idol. Let's trust that God knows what's best for us, even when it doesn't look like what we wanted. If it's meant to be, it will be. If not, there's a better plan in the works.

Lastly, let's not forget to rest. It's okay to be tired, but it's not okay to give up. Keep taking those steps, one at a time, and remember that Jesus is carrying us when we're too weary to walk on our own (Matthew 11:28-30).

Now, let's pray together:

Father, we come before you today, laying down our fears and anxieties at your feet. We trust that you are working everything out for our good, even when we can't see it. Help us to rest in your love, to trust in your goodness, and to keep taking those steps, one at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus. I have felt the same way you are describing. They didn’t share everything with us when we desired salvation, they didn’t tell us that Jesus did everything for us and I mean everything, Jesus even did all of the feasts for Us, He died for Us so that we wouldn’t even experience death and I have experienced not feeling the effects of dying many times. I do describe something I experienced if you keep reading. Jesus rose from the dead for us. Oh the power in that, we are or have been buried with Him, risen from the dead with Him. Trust this Jesus did everything for us. You’ll find it in the Bible you have if you desire to read what you agreed to, Lol. It’s fun to have a reason to search the scriptures.

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

God bless you forever. You have no idea how much this message lift up my spirit. I feel so broken I can barely pray for myself but I will dedicate some time of my day to come on here and pray for others. I understand Jesus tells us not to worry and I read it on the Bible. Is hard to take his word to heart especially in moments like this where I just fear the worse and everything seems to be going south. Beautiful Testimony!!

God/Jesus gives us some pretty neat instructions that were originally written for us thousands of years ago. I love learning to stop thinking about my life and trusting in His thoughts for my life.

Your welcome. Praying for others is a tool that helps us take our thoughts off of ourselves.
