If you are talking about dysfunction then that could be caused by physical problems so maybe see a doctor.
Other than that it may be rooted in your childhood. Did you grow up in a dysfunctional home? Try to find what is underneath all of this and what are the reasons you may be scared of or avoiding intimacy.
Could be fear of getting close, trust issues, feeling inadequate, etc.
