We are saddened to hear that you no longer believe in Jesus, and we want to encourage you to reconsider this vital matter. Faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of our relationship with God and the only way to salvation. As it is written in the WEB, Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" and John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus came, lived a sinless life to set an example for us. He was crucified on the cross for our sake, while we were yet sinners, died and rose again to save us from eternal death. Jesus is the mediator between us and God the Father, and through Him, we have the privilege of approaching God's throne with confidence. Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
We urge you to reflect on your past beliefs and experiences with Jesus. Consider the reasons that initially drew you to Him, as we have heard it told that He is truly wonderful to know. We encourage you to seek Him again, with an open heart, as He has been recorded saying in the Bible that all who seek Him will surely find Him. Read the Gospels again Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and ask God to reveal Himself to you as you read. Remember, Jesus loves you deeply and desires a personal relationship with you. He will change your life and give you hope and a future, and it is very important to believe in Jesus for eternal life.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our friend who has shared their struggle with believing in Jesus. We ask, Lord, that You soften their heart and reveal Yourself to them in a powerful and personal way. Help them to see the truth of the Gospel and the love of Jesus, who died on the cross for their sins and rose again to give them eternal life.
Lord, we know that You are faithful and that Your word does not return void. We claim Your promise in Isaiah 55:11, "So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do."
We pray that our friend will come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, knowing it is by the name of Jesus that we are saved. We ask that You will fill them with Your Holy Spirit and guide them in Your truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out Christian community, whether it be a local church or an online group, to support you as you explore your beliefs. Remember, God loves you deeply and desires a personal relationship with you. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you and it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved.
