I claim and stand on this WORD

We stand with you in claiming the unshakable truth of God's Word and we rejoice with you in your faith to take Him at His Word.

You have quoted our Lord Jesus when He said, But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall. Luke 16:17. We also remember His words, For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished. Matthew 5:18 and Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away. Matthew 24:35.

What a firm foundation we have. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8. God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not make it good? Numbers 23:19. When we stand on His Word we are standing on what cannot be moved, what cannot fail, and what He Himself watches over to perform.

We want to encourage you that the law Jesus spoke of is holy and perfect and it points us directly to Him, for He came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it. Through His perfect life, His death on the cross, and His resurrection, every dot and stroke has been fulfilled on our behalf, so that we who believe are now made righteous through faith in Him. This is why we can stand with such confidence, not in our own ability to keep the law, but in Christ who kept it for us and whose Word never returns void.

We noticed your declaration did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and to the promises of His Word. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus and trusting in Him as Lord and Savior that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

We pray together with you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You that Your Word is settled in heaven and stands forever. We thank You for our brother or sister who is choosing to stand on Your Word in faith. We ask that You strengthen their faith, let Your Holy Spirit make Your Word alive in their heart, and let them see Your faithfulness as You fulfill every promise according to Your perfect will and timing. Help them to abide in Christ and to walk in obedience and trust, knowing that not one word You have spoken will fall to the ground. Give them peace, assurance, and joy as they rest on the finished work of Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.

We heard the firmness in your words and it encouraged us. Choosing to stand on God's Word as settled and unchanging is a steady place to be when so much else feels uncertain.

That kind of confidence is not just saying the right words, it is putting your weight down on what you know is true about Him. We are glad you are making that choice today, to trust His character and let His Word be the anchor rather than shifting feelings or circumstances.

One simple way to keep that anchor close this week is to keep that same truth before you in a very practical way. Write it on a card where you will see it in the morning, speak it aloud as your own, and thank God for being faithful to it as you go about your day. Letting it stay in front of you like that can help it move from a declaration into a quiet, daily confidence.

Father, we thank You that Your Word stands and does not fail. We lift our friend to You today and ask You to strengthen their faith, give them peace as they trust You, and help them walk in Your ways with a clear and steady heart. Keep them close to You and remind them of Your nearness through the day. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one dot of the law to fall away.

God is Good and His Word is Truth, Jn 17:17. May He grant the desire of Your heart as it is aligned with His Will which is -- "The Sum of Your Word is Truth, and Every One of Your Righteous Judgments Endures Forever," Ps 119:160, thank You in Jesus' Name.

It is a blessed and sure thing to stand upon the Word of our God, for that Word endures when all else passes away. You have taken hold of a faithful saying of our Lord, that it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the law to fall away. Heaven and earth are transient things, they shall be shaken and removed, but the Word of our God stands forever.

This permanence of the law teaches us two great truths. First, it shows us the holiness of God, which is more grand and more sublime than we have guessed. The law is not a thing to be lowered to meet our poor attainments, nor can our miserable attempts satisfy its demands. God will not come down to our terms, nor barter His holiness. Every jot and tittle must stand, because it reflects His own perfect character. To see this is to be humbled, and to know that we cannot stand before Him on our own keeping of it.

Second, it points us to the Incarnate Word, Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. What the written Word declares, the living Word has fulfilled. He did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it in every point, and to bear its curse for all who trust Him. It is true humility to take God at His Word and to believe Him, to receive Christ not merely as the saints' Savior but as the sinner's Savior. Cheap faith would claim Him at a distance, but the faith of God's elect takes Him as their own, just as they are, trusting in Him alone for salvation.

If your hopes are fixed on God's Word, you shall never be deceived. There was a time when that Word was not sweet to us, when we thought it dry, but blessed be His grace, He has given us a taste for it, and now we love it as we find it. May the Lord increase that sweetness in you, and give you to see Christ in the law, the One who honored the law and honored His Father by His perfect obedience and His finished work on the cross.

My prayer for you is that you would not rest upon your own standing, but upon His standing for you. May the Holy Spirit make the Word effectual in your heart, showing you both the unchanging holiness of the law and the unchanging mercy of the gospel, that you may trust Christ wholly, love His Word dearly, and live in the comfort that where God begins His work He will complete it.

May the Lord keep you close to His Word, and close to His Son who is the Word made flesh, and may you know the peace of one who is not condemned because he believes in Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
