I can't manage for my expenses and my business so running down right now

My name is Aman Warsi from Delhi. I am humbly reaching out to request your prayers. About four months ago, I faced a heavy financial loss in my business. One of my customers took my money and disappeared, leaving me in a very difficult situation. Since then, I’ve been struggling to manage my daily expenses and keep things running. This situation has affected me deeply — mentally, emotionally, and financially. I often find myself worrying about how things will ever get better. But I still believe that God can restore what was lost and open new doors of hope and provision. Please pray that God may strengthen my heart, remove my anxiety, and bless me with financial stability, wisdom, and peace. I ask the Lord to make a way where there seems to be no way, and to bring light into this dark phase of my life. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers. – Aman Warsi, Delhi

Aman, we hear the deep distress in your heart, and we are moved with compassion for the heavy burdens you carry—financial loss, betrayal, anxiety, and the weight of uncertainty pressing upon you. Yet we rejoice that even in this storm, you have turned your eyes toward the Lord, who alone is your Provider, Restorer, and Peace. Your faith in His ability to "make a way where there seems to be no way" is a testament to the hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5). Let us first address a critical matter: in your request, you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom all things are held together (Colossians 1:17). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that our prayers reach the throne of God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for apart from Him, there is no true peace, restoration, or eternal hope. The Scriptures declare, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, all other petitions are built upon shifting sand.

Now, let us speak to the trials you face. The betrayal you suffered at the hands of your customer is a painful reminder of the brokenness of this world, where even those we trust can fail us. Yet the Lord sees the wickedness of those who act deceitfully, and He will repay (Proverbs 22:22-23). Do not let bitterness take root in your heart, for the Lord commands us, "Don’t say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you" (Proverbs 20:22). Instead, release this injustice into His hands, trusting that He will vindicate you in His perfect timing. Your anxiety over finances is understandable, but it is not the portion the Lord intends for His children. Jesus Himself said, "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:25, 32-33). Your focus must not be consumed by the lack, but fixed on the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). He is not unaware of your need, nor is He indifferent to your cries.

As for your business, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom above all else. James 1:5 promises, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Perhaps this season is an invitation to re-examine your business practices, your stewardship, and your dependence on the Lord. Have you sought His guidance in every decision, or have you relied on your own understanding? Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It may be that the Lord is pruning areas of your life to bear more fruit (John 15:2), or He may be redirecting your steps entirely. Be open to His leading, even if it requires humility or change.

We also urge you to examine your heart for any idolatry. Has your business, or the security it provided, become an idol in your life? Have you placed your trust in money or success rather than in the Lord? Jesus warned, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon" (Matthew 6:24). If this struggle has revealed a misplaced trust, repent and surrender it to the Lord. He alone is worthy of your worship, and He alone can satisfy the deepest longings of your soul.

Finally, do not isolate yourself in this trial. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Have you sought counsel from wise believers in your local church? Have you shared your needs with those who can offer practical help or prayer? Pride often keeps us from asking for help, but humility opens the door for God’s provision through His people. If you are not already part of a biblical church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can be shepherded, encouraged, and held accountable.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother ### before Your throne of grace, asking that You would meet him in this place of deep need. Lord Jesus, ### has not yet called upon Your name in this request, and we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him as the only Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). If he does not know You as his Savior, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself today, that he may repent of his sins and place his faith in You alone for salvation. Let this trial be the very thing that leads him into Your arms, where he will find everlasting peace and hope.

Father, we ask that You would rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that has gripped ###’s heart. Your Word says, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10). Let this promise anchor his soul in the midst of the storm. Replace his worry with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill him with the joy of Your presence, even as he walks through this valley.

Lord, we pray for justice concerning the betrayal ### has suffered. You are a God of justice, and You see the wickedness of those who act deceitfully. We ask that You would expose the wrongdoing of the one who stole from him and bring about restitution in Your timing. Protect ### from bitterness, and let him forgive as You have forgiven him (Colossians 3:13). Use this trial to refine his character, that he may emerge with a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We pray for wisdom and discernment as ### navigates his business. If there are areas where he has not sought Your will, convict him and lead him into Your truth. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and provide for his daily needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). If there are debts or obligations, we ask that You would make a way for them to be met, that ###’s name would not be shamed among men. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let this season of lack become a testimony of Your abundance.

Father, we pray that You would surround ### with godly counsel and support. Lead him to a community of believers who can encourage him, pray for him, and walk alongside him in this time. If he has been isolated, convict him to reach out for help, that he may experience the love of Your body.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that ###’s faith would not fail. Let this trial drive him deeper into Your Word and closer to Your heart. Remind him that You are his Shepherd, and he shall lack nothing (Psalm 23:1). Even if the restoration tarries, let him trust in Your goodness and Your timing. May he say with the psalmist, "I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved" (Psalm 16:8).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who sympathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father. Let ###’s life be a testament to Your faithfulness, that others may see and glorify Your name. Amen.

Dear ###,

We're here with you in your struggle, feeling the weight of your financial burden and the pain of betrayal. It's tough, we know, but we're believing with you that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we want to pray for you in Jesus' name. We ask that God would strengthen your heart, remove your anxiety, and bless you with financial stability, wisdom, and peace. We believe that God can restore what was lost and open new doors of hope and provision.

Remember, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea" (Psalm 46:1-2).

Let's keep lifting you up in prayer, brother. You're not alone in this. We're here for you, and so is God. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep seeking His face.
