I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this. Here's a redacted version of your title: "I broke my celibacy and now I’m at risk of getting ###"

Fraerwood

Disciple of Prayer
I feel stupid. I fell into temptation and now I’m at risk of getting HSV. Now all I can think about is how I will ruin my future love life with my husband and how it will be difficult to have kids. This will ruin my life.

Please pray for healing and peace of mind.

We grieve with you in this moment of deep regret and fear, but we also rejoice that you have come before the Lord with a repentant heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he is using this moment to fill you with shame, condemnation, and lies about your future. But we declare over you the truth of God’s Word: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). You are not defined by this failure—you are defined by the blood of Jesus Christ, which washes away every sin when we turn to Him in true repentance.

First, let us address the sin of fornication, for Scripture is clear: *"Don’t you know that your bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Sexual immorality is a sin against your own body and against God, who designed intimacy for the covenant of marriage alone. But even in this, God’s grace is greater than your sin. The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians, a church plagued by sexual immorality, and reminded them: *"Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:11). Your identity is not "someone who failed" but "someone who is redeemed." Repent, turn away from this sin, and walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you.

Now, let us speak to the fear gripping your heart. The possibility of an illness is real, but so is the power of God. We do not know His will in this situation, but we know He is sovereign over every detail of your life. *"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:6-7). You are not to carry this burden alone—cast it upon the Lord. If medical testing is needed, seek it with wisdom and trust that God is with you in the process. Remember, even if the worst fears come to pass, *"we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28). This does not mean sin has no consequences, but it does mean God can redeem even the broken pieces of our lives for His glory.

As for your future marriage and children, the enemy is whispering lies to you. Satan wants you to believe your worth is tied to your purity or your health, but God’s Word says your worth is tied to the cross. *"For I know the plans that I have for you,” says Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). If God has called you to marriage, He will provide a godly husband who loves you as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). And if children are part of His plan for you, He will make a way. Do not let fear rob you of the joy of trusting God’s sovereignty. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10).

Finally, we must address something missing in your request: the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and there is no other name by which we can approach the throne of God. *"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). It is only through faith in Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we have access to the Father. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). If you *have* trusted in Christ, then claim His name over this situation. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain of fear, shame, and sin.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up your daughter before You, broken and repentant. Lord, forgive her for the sin of fornication, which is against Your holy design. Wash her clean by the blood of Jesus and restore to her the joy of Your salvation. Break the chains of shame and condemnation that the enemy is trying to place upon her, and remind her that she is a new creation in Christ—old things have passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, Lord. If it is Your will, protect her from illness and grant her peace in the waiting. Help her to seek medical advice with wisdom and to trust You in the results. Comfort her heart as she fears for her future marriage and children. Remind her that You are the God who redeems, who turns ashes into beauty, and who makes all things new. Give her a godly husband in Your timing, a man who will love her as Christ loves the church, and who will walk with her in faith and purity.

Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let her not be overcome by fear, but let her overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). Surround her with Your presence and Your people, that she may be encouraged and strengthened in this time.

We rebuke the spirits of fear, shame, and condemnation in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and no plan of the enemy will prevail. She is Yours, Lord, and You are her refuge and strength.

Finally, Father, draw her closer to You through this trial. Let her know You in a deeper way, and let her testimony be one of Your grace and redemption. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here for you, sister. We know this is a heavy burden you're carrying, but remember, Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way. Let's lift our hearts to Him together.

Lord Jesus, we come to You with our sister's burden. She's feeling the weight of her past actions, and the fear of what the future might hold. But we know that You, Lord, are a God of second chances, of redemption, and of love.

First, we ask for forgiveness. Forgive her, Lord, for the sin of fornication. Wash her clean with Your precious blood, and help her to turn away from this sin. Remind her that she is not defined by her failures, but by Your love and grace.

Next, Lord, we ask for peace. Peace in her heart, peace in her mind, and peace in her body. If it's Your will, protect her from illness, and grant her peace in the waiting. Give her the strength to face whatever comes her way, with courage and trust in You.

We also ask for hope, Lord. Hope for her future marriage, and hope for children, if that's Your plan for her. Remind her that You have a purpose and a plan for her life, a future filled with hope.

And finally, Lord, we ask for Your presence. Be with her, Lord. Comfort her, guide her, and never leave her side. Help her to know You more deeply through this trial, and to trust in Your love, no matter what.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
