I don't want to go into full details about everything but here's what I need right now. I'm a single father. My son's mother up and abandoned him, I've been struggling so hard with my mental health it's affected my ability to work. As of late it's felt like it's beyond my control and I've reached the lowest point in my life. I'm literally hanging on just for my son. I hate asking anyone, even God, for help but here I am. Please just pray for me and people like me.

We hear the pain and desperation in your words, and our hearts ache with you. You are carrying a weight that no parent should have to bear alone—raising a child while grieving the abandonment of his mother, battling your own mental health, and facing the daily struggle to provide. Yet even in this darkness, your love for your son shines through as the one thing keeping you here. That is a testament to the strength God has placed in you, even when you feel weak.

First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You asked for prayer, but you did not mention the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father. Scripture is clear: *"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’"* (John 14:6). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Christ, for He alone can save, heal, and restore. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him—confessing your sins, believing in His death and resurrection, and receiving Him as Lord. If you have not done this, we plead with you to do so now. Your soul’s eternity depends on it.

Now, to your request: You are not alone in this. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and collects every one of them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You may feel like you’re hanging on by a thread, but that thread is held by the One who spun the universe into being. He is your strength when you have none left.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and isolation that has tried to convince you that you must carry this alone. The enemy wants you to believe that your worth is tied to your productivity, your mental state, or even your ability to be both mother and father to your son. But your worth is found in Christ alone. *"Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows"* (Luke 12:6-7).

We also rebuke the lie that asking for help is a sign of weakness. Scripture commands us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and to confess our struggles so that we may be healed (James 5:16). You have taken a step of courage by reaching out, and we stand with you in prayer.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother and his precious son. Lord, You are the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the widow and the broken (Psalm 68:5). We ask that You would wrap Your arms around him in this moment of deep despair. Strengthen his mind, body, and spirit, Lord. Where anxiety has taken root, replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where depression has clouded his vision, let Your light break through like the dawn (Isaiah 58:8).

Provide for his every need, Father—financially, emotionally, and physically. Open doors for steady work, and give him the energy and focus he needs to provide for his son. Surround him with godly community—believers who will walk alongside him, pray with him, and help carry his burdens. Protect his heart from bitterness toward his son’s mother, and help him to extend grace even when none was given to him. Guard his son from the wounds of abandonment, and let the boy know the love of a heavenly Father who will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Lord, we ask for healing in this man’s soul. Heal the wounds of rejection, the fear of failure, and the exhaustion of parenting alone. Remind him daily that he is seen, known, and deeply loved by You. Give him moments of joy with his son, where laughter drowns out the noise of his struggles. Let him feel Your presence in the quiet moments, when he tucks his son into bed or sits in the stillness of the morning.

We declare over him that he is not defined by his circumstances. He is a child of the Most High God, called for a purpose, and equipped with everything he needs to walk this path (2 Peter 1:3). We speak life over his mental health—renew his mind, Lord, with the truth of Your Word. Let him meditate on Your promises day and night (Joshua 1:8), and let those promises be the anchor for his soul.

Father, we also pray for other single parents who are struggling in silence. Meet them in their pain, Lord. Provide for them, strengthen them, and remind them that You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Break the chains of shame that keep them from asking for help, and let them experience the love of Your people in tangible ways.

We thank You, Lord, that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in this valley, You are making a way. We trust You to restore what has been broken, to heal what has been wounded, and to redeem what has been lost.

In the name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, we pray. Amen.

Brother, you are not forgotten. You are not invisible. The God of the universe sees you, and He is fighting for you even when you cannot fight for yourself. Keep holding on to your son, but also hold on to the promises of God. Write them down. Speak them out loud. Let them be the lifeline that pulls you from the depths.

We encourage you to seek out a local church where you can find support and community. You were never meant to walk this road alone. If you do not have a church home, ask the Lord to lead you to one where you and your son can be loved, prayed for, and discipled. The body of Christ is called to be His hands and feet, and we are here for you.

Lastly, if your mental health struggles feel unmanageable, we urge you to seek professional help. There is no shame in reaching out to a Christian counselor or doctor who can provide tools and support. God often works through the wisdom and resources He has placed in this world to bring healing.

You are loved. You are seen. And you are not walking this path alone. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will lift you from this pit and set your feet upon the Rock. Keep your eyes on Him.

We're here for you, brother. We know the weight you're carrying, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. You're not alone, and you're certainly not a burden. We want you to know that we're lifting you up in prayer, every step of the way.

We're asking God to give you strength, peace, and clarity. We're praying for provision, for your needs to be met, and for your son to know the love and care he deserves. We're also asking God to heal your heart, to mend the wounds that have been left by the abandonment of your son's mother, and to fill you with hope and joy.

We want you to know that it's okay to ask for help. It's okay to not have all the answers. It's okay to feel like you're hanging on by a thread. We're here to remind you that God is holding that thread, and He won't let you go.

Keep fighting, brother. Keep holding on. And remember, you're not just fighting for yourself, but for your son too. He needs you, and God has given you the strength to be the father he needs.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus. Don’t feel bad asking Jesus for His help. Did you know that He has promises for us all through the Bible that we can declare in Jesus over ourselves and our loved ones?

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.
