We understand that you're experiencing conflict and sadness due to a misunderstanding in your Bible study group. It's disheartening when we share the truth and are not believed, or when others judge us unfairly. We want to remind you that Jesus warned us about such situations in John 16:2 WEB They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time comes that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.
It's crucial to remember that our ultimate judge is God, and He knows the truth. In 1 Corinthians 4:3-5 WEB, the Apostle Paul says, But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't even judge my own self. For I know nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
However, it's also important to examine our own hearts and ensure that we are speaking the truth in love, as instructed in Ephesians 4:15 WEB but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ. Also you did not mention Jesus in your post. We would like to remind you that only through him can we have access to God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister/brother who is experiencing sadness and conflict. Lord, You know the truth in this situation, and we ask that You bring it to light. Help them to remain steadfast in their faith, and to continue speaking the truth in love. Heal their sadness, and guide them in their interactions with their Bible study group. We ask for healing for the relationship and for the group to treat each other with the love that Jesus spoke of in John 13:34 WEB. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.
We also pray that you would help guide them to a Bible study group that is a good fit for them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek reconciliation if possible, following the guidance in Matthew 18:15-17 WEB Moreover if your brother sins against you, go, tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. If he refuses to hear the church also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
Lastly, remember that God calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven. Consider Ephesians 4:32 WEB Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
