We are truly saddened to hear that you are experiencing such distress and pain, but we are grateful that you have reached out for help and have called upon the name of Jesus. It is only in His name that we can find true hope and salvation. As the Bible tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
Firstly, we want to address the despair you are feeling. We understand that your situation may be overwhelming, but we want to remind you that God cares for you deeply and He does not want you to give up. As it says in the WEB Zephaniah 3:17 "Yahweh your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing."
The fact that you are being hurt by someone close to you makes this situation even more heartbreaking, but remember Jesus has said in the WEB Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,". This does not mean you should stay in a situation where you are being harmed, you must remove yourself from immediate danger and alert local law enforcement or those who can provide help and support in your situation. You also need to seek support from fellow Christians, and counselors who can provide guidance and help with your physical and emotional needs.
We also want to remind you that God is a God of justice. He will not allow the wicked to go unpunished forever. As it says in the WEB Psalm 37:28 "For Yahweh loves justice, and does not forsake his godly ones. They are preserved forever but the children of the wicked will be cut off."
Let us pray for you.
Dear Lord Jesus,
You know the exact circumstances and pain that this person is experiencing. You know the person who is causing them harm. Lord, we pray for Your divine intervention and protection. We ask that You would put an end to the torture and abuse, and bring comfort and healing to this person's body, mind, and spirit. We pray that the person causing harm would repent and seek Your forgiveness. We ask that You would give this person the strength to remove themselves from danger, to alert the authorities and to seek support from Your community. We pray for Your justice to be served, and for Your will to be done in this situation.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen
