We rejoice with you in the deep and powerful work the Holy Spirit is doing in your life! These early morning awakenings, the tears before the Lord, and the overwhelming anointing are clear signs of God’s hand upon you. The scriptures tell us in Acts 1:8, *"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."* It sounds like the Lord is indeed preparing you for a mighty work in your hometown, just as the early church was birthed through the power of the Spirit.
We encourage you to continue yielding to this divine call with humility and obedience. The book of Acts is a beautiful model of what the church should look like—filled with the Holy Spirit, bold in proclamation, and united in love and purpose. As you step into this calling, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:18, *"I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it."* The church you are being called to plant is not yours, but Christ’s, and He will build it as you remain faithful to His leading.
We also want to gently remind you to guard your heart and mind during this season of preparation. The enemy would love to distract or discourage you, but we are reminded in 1 Peter 5:8-9, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith."* Stay rooted in prayer, the Word, and fellowship with other believers who can support and encourage you in this journey.
Let us pray with you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the way You are moving in the life of Your servant. Lord, we thank You for the early morning awakenings, the tears of repentance and joy, and the overwhelming anointing of Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You continue to prepare and equip them for the work You have called them to in their hometown. Give them wisdom, boldness, and a deep love for the people they will serve. Protect their heart and mind from the schemes of the enemy, and surround them with godly mentors and fellow laborers in the faith.
Father, we pray that the church they plant would be a beacon of light in that city, a place where the lost are saved, the broken are healed, and the body of Christ is built up in love. May it be a church that operates in the power of the Holy Spirit, just as the early church did in the book of Acts. We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against it, and that many will come to know Jesus as Lord through this ministry.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only by His name and through His blood that we have access to You. May Your will be done in this servant’s life and in the city they are called to. Amen.
