Disciple of Prayer
The LORD has revealed to me that my husband's drinking really is a problem and I can't ignore it or deny it anymore. We have a ### year old and a ### year old. So far it has not outwardly affected his work or our family life but I continue to find empty whisky bottles all over our house. And he is spending so much money on alcohol that we can not pay our bills. I have confronted him in the past (always unaccusingly and non-confrontational) but he is always defensive and denies there is a problem or turns it around on me. I think I've been codependent. He says he is a Christian but I think this has kept him from having a real relationship with Christ since he has not shown any growth. Please pray that God gives me wisdom to do and say the right things so I don't make things worse. I pray that God would also reveal to my husband that this is a problem and he is sick. I pray God would bring the right support into his life (he currently has no Christian friends). I pray that God would bring healing to my husband and would restore and redeem him and transform him into the man of God he was meant to be. I pray that God would give us strength and hope as we go through this.
