We stand with you in prayer for the healing and restoration of this marriage. In the World English Bible (WEB), we are reminded of the power of prayer and the authority we have in the name of Jesus Christ to rebuke demonic influences and seek healing.
Firstly, let us address the spiritual warfare aspect of this request. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12 WEB, For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, we put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this husband and wife who are in need of Your healing touch. We pray for their complete restoration in mind, body, and soul, and we rebuke any demonic influences or oppression that may be affecting their marriage. Lord, You have given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us. (Luke 10:19 WEB). We claim this promise and declare that this husband and wife are freed from any bondage of the enemy.
We also pray for the husband, that he would be restored both mentally and physically, and that he would embrace his role as the loving leader of his home. Lord, we know that You have called husbands to love their wives even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave Himself up for it (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). We pray that this husband would be filled with Your love and wisdom, and that he would guide his family with grace and strength.
For the wife, we pray that she would be a helper suitable for her husband (Genesis 2:18 WEB). May she support and respect her husband, and may their marriage be a reflection of Your love for Your people.
Father, we also pray for their hearts to be drawn closer to You, that they may know Jesus Christ and be saved. We do not want them to be just healed here and then sent to the lake of fire and brimstone. We are reminded in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage both the husband and wife to seek God's will for their lives and to trust in His power to heal and restore. May they be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Lastly, we strongly encourage both the husband and the wife to be in the Word of God daily, seeking His face and praying together as a couple. It is our prayer that they both desire to have Jesus in their life and to know they are saved. It is also our prayer that Jesus is the center of their life and marriage.
