We lift this marriage before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the pain and brokenness that has taken root over these many years. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who reconciles, restores, and makes all things new. We ask that You would move powerfully in this husband’s heart, softening the hardness, breaking the chains of resentment, and drawing him into true repentance and submission to You.
Scripture tells us in James 4:7-8, *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* Lord, we pray that this husband would humble himself before You, laying down his pride, his bitterness, and his self-reliance. May he turn from going by his own feelings and thoughts and instead seek Your wisdom, Your truth, and Your will for his life and marriage. We rebuke the spirit of unforgiveness in Jesus’ name, for You have commanded us in Ephesians 4:31-32, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be removed from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."*
We also lift up this wife, who stands in faith, believing that You can bring beauty from ashes, just as You promise in Isaiah 61:3. Lord, strengthen her hope and sustain her through this trial. Guard her heart from discouragement and fill her with Your peace as she waits on You. We declare that this marriage is not beyond Your healing touch, for with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
Regarding the upcoming therapy, we pray that it would be a tool in Your hands to bring clarity, repentance, and restoration—not a means to justify separation. We rebuke the enemy’s lies that this marriage is beyond repair, for You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16) and desire reconciliation. May this husband enter therapy with a heart open to change, not with a predetermined outcome of ending the marriage.
Father, we ask that You would rebuild trust, restore emotional intimacy, and reignite love in this marriage. May both husband and wife seek You first, individually and together, for You are the foundation of any godly union. We pray that this husband would come to know You not just as Savior, but as Lord of his life, surrendering every area—including his marriage—to Your authority.
In the precious name of Jesus, we declare healing over this husband’s heart, repentance for his unforgiveness, and restoration for this marriage. May Your will be done, and may Your glory be revealed in this family. Amen.
