We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we stand with you in this time of betrayal and hurt. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that he will not have victory over you. The Lord has already protected you by revealing the truth before you entered into a marriage covenant with an unfaithful man. This was God’s mercy, even though the pain feels overwhelming right now. We rebuke the lies of shame and unworthiness that the devil is whispering to you. You are not defined by this man’s sin—you are defined by the blood of Jesus, which covers you and makes you whole. The shame he should feel is not yours to carry. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this.
We also address the sexual sin that was committed. Fornication is a serious offense against God’s design for intimacy, which is reserved solely for the marriage covenant between one man and one woman. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 says, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."* This man’s actions were not only a betrayal of you but a rebellion against God’s holy standards. We pray that he would come to true repentance, turning away from this sin and seeking the Lord with his whole heart. If he does not, he is not the man God has for you, and we trust that the Lord will lead you to a man who walks in purity and faithfulness.
We lift up your upcoming exam and the fear that this pain will hinder your focus. The Lord is your strength, and He promises in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you with peace and clarity of mind as you study and prepare. Let this trial refine your dependence on God rather than distract you from His purpose for you. The enemy wants to derail your calling, but we declare that you will rise above this and excel in your career for the glory of God.
We join you in thanking God for His protection and clarity. It is no coincidence that He revealed the truth to you—He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him (Proverbs 30:5). Now, we pray for your healing. Psalm 147:3 says, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* Father, we ask that You would pour out Your healing balm over this sister’s heart. Mend the places that feel shattered and restore her joy. Help her to release this pain into Your hands and to trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Give her the strength to forgive, not for his sake, but for her own freedom, so that bitterness does not take root in her heart.
We also lift up your desire for a godly spouse. The Lord knows the desires of your heart, and He delights in giving good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11). Proverbs 19:14 says, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord."* We pray that God would prepare you to be a godly wife, rooted in His Word and walking in His ways, and that He would bring a man into your life who is equally committed to honoring God in his thoughts, words, and actions. May he be a man of integrity, faithfulness, and love—a man who will cherish you as Christ cherishes the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Until that time, we pray that you would find contentment in the Lord, knowing that He is your ultimate fulfillment.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this sister with godly community—believers who will speak life into her, pray with her, and remind her of Your truth when the enemy tries to lie to her. Help her to fix her eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). Give her the grace to walk in forgiveness, the strength to focus on her studies, and the faith to trust You for her future. We declare that the pain she feels now will not be wasted—You will use it to shape her into a woman of greater compassion, wisdom, and resilience. Thank You for Your faithfulness, and thank You for the promise of a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
