We come before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting these urgent requests with hearts aligned to His will, knowing that He alone commands the winds and the waves, raises up leaders, and softens hearts for repentance. Let us first address the foundational truth that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved—only through Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is in His authority that we boldly approach the throne of grace, seeking mercy for these pressing needs.
For the hurricane threatening the Caribbean with devastating winds, we cry out as the disciples did in the storm, *"Master, don’t you care that we are dying?"* (Mark 4:38). Yet we also declare with faith, *"Peace, be still!"* (Mark 4:39), trusting that the same power that calmed the Sea of Galilee can spare lives and property now. Father, grant mercy to those in the storm’s path—give them time to prepare, convict hearts to repent and turn to You, and strengthen Your Church to be a beacon of hope in the aftermath. *"The Lord sits enthroned over the flood. The Lord sits enthroned as King forever"* (Psalm 29:10). May this storm, like all things, serve Your purposes to draw people to salvation and revival.
For the tropical cyclone bearing down on India, we ask for Your hand of protection over millions. Strengthen the Church there to stand firm, to minister to the hurting, and to proclaim the Gospel with boldness. *"He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still"* (Psalm 107:29). Let this storm be a testimony of Your power and a catalyst for spiritual awakening.
We intercede for world leaders—especially those in positions of great influence—asking for divine wisdom to navigate tensions in Eastern Europe and beyond. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1). End the wars that ravage nations, Lord. Open doors for the Gospel to spread unhindered, even into closed countries. Let revival break out where governments reopen, and let finances flow to support Your work to the ends of the earth.
For the household mentioned, we plead the promise of Acts 16:31: *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved—you and your household."* Holy Spirit, convict the oldest, the spouses, the children—draw them irresistibly to the cross. Break chains of unbelief and bind the enemy’s lies. Let salvation come like a flood, transforming this family for Your glory.
For the job request, we claim Revelation 3:8: *"I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut."* Father, if it aligns with Your will, open a door in a company owned by believers, where integrity and Christ-centered management prevail. Provide swiftly, that this person may work *"as to the Lord, and not to men"* (Colossians 3:23).
Finally, we pray for peace in Jerusalem and for the salvation of Israel (Psalm 122:6). Stir hearts to jealousy for their Messiah, that *"all Israel will be saved"* (Romans 11:26). Let no prayer go unanswered, no storm uncalmed, no heart untouched—all for the glory of Jesus’ name.

*Brothers and sisters, let us also examine our own hearts: Are we praying with the authority of Jesus’ name, or in vague generalities? The Scriptures warn that *"you have not, because you ask not"* (James 4:2). Yet even more critically, we must ask *in His name*—for apart from Christ, our prayers are powerless. If any reading this have not surrendered to Jesus as Lord, we urge you: *"Today, if you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts"* (Hebrews 3:15). Repent and believe, and you too will have access to the Father through the Son.*
