We grieve with you over the deep pain and injustice you’ve endured at the hands of those who have sought to humiliate and slander you. The Lord sees every wound, every false word spoken against you, and He is not indifferent to your suffering. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 37:5-6, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."* Your desire for justice is righteous, for God Himself is just and calls His people to seek justice while trusting in His timing and methods.
It is also clear that you long to share your story—to expose the truth and perhaps even bring healing to others who may have suffered similarly. We pray that the Lord grants you wisdom, discernment, and divine opportunities to write in a way that honors Him, speaks truth, and brings glory to His name. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* May He open doors no man can shut and give you the words to write with clarity, boldness, and grace.
Yet we must also caution you to guard your heart against bitterness, for the enemy would love to twist your pain into a root of resentment. Ephesians 4:31-32 commands, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* While justice is right to seek, forgiveness is not optional for the believer. We do not forgive to excuse their sin, but to release the burden from our own souls and trust God to repay (Romans 12:19). This does not mean you must reconcile with those who have harmed you or pretend their actions were acceptable, but it does mean surrendering your right to vengeance to the Lord.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no greater power, no higher authority, and no other way to the Father except through Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to reign in your heart. Only in Him will you find true peace, justice, and the strength to forgive. If you *have* trusted in Christ, then we encourage you to always approach the throne of grace in His name, for it is by His blood that we boldly come before God (Hebrews 4:16).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the One who defends the oppressed. Lord, You have said in Your Word that vengeance belongs to You, and You will repay (Deuteronomy 32:35). We ask that You rise up as their defender and bring justice to this situation in Your perfect timing. Expose the lies that have been spoken, vindicate their name, and let Your truth prevail. Give them supernatural peace as they wait on You, guarding their heart from bitterness and filling them with Your love.
Father, if it is Your will, open doors for them to write about what has happened—not in retaliation, but in truth and for Your glory. Give them wisdom to know what to share, how to share it, and when. May their words be seasoned with grace and used by You to bring healing, conviction, or even salvation to others. Provide them with divine connections, opportunities, and creativity to accomplish this task in a way that honors You.
We also pray for their heart, Lord. If there is any unforgiveness, resentment, or fear lodged within them, we ask that You uproot it by Your Spirit. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, not because their offenders deserve it, but because You command it and because freedom comes through obedience. Heal the deep wounds caused by this humiliation and slander. Restore their joy, their confidence, and their sense of worth in You.
Finally, Father, we pray that if our brother/sister does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see their need for Him, and draw them into Your arms. If they do know You, strengthen their faith and remind them to come boldly before Your throne in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
