Let me start with a question is the sky blue? OK for real how are you praying? Are you praying for your wife to come home? Are you praying for your marriage to be restored? Or are you praying for your wife to find God and to find His will? Its OK be honest no one here will judge you. I started not so much praying for my wife to come home in the beginning of this but I was begging God to make my wife come home, I was pleading with Hi m that I will do what ever it takes to make this work and to be the husband I need to be. Well remember that verse faith without works? Well just in case here it is James 2: 14-26 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,†but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.†Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.†And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Now faith without works in prayer is the same as faith without works in life. If we are telling God we will do something if He does something then shouldn't we do it first? This isn't to prove to God that you will, its to prove to yourself that you can. Think about it what if God said OK I will give you your prayer if you follow me all of your days and do exactly what I tell you when I tell you. Then He answers your prayer and you can not preform the tasks what do you think is going to happen? Well many things for one you would let yourself down and probably lose what you prayed for, but most importantly you would let God down. Faith without works. If we tell God I will follow you if you do this for me first of all God doesn't need to be persuaded, but he wants to show you He Loves you. He doesn't need an ultimatum because He already knows what you will do, so instead of praying God if you do this I will do this. How about you just do what you know your suppose to any way. Instead of praying God bring my wife back start praying for the wife that God sees, not the wife right in front of you, but the wife you see after she comes back. "God I thank you for bringing my wife back, God I thank you for guiding her in the right direction, God I thank you for the Godly woman inside my wife who is in love with you and me." We don't need to beg God what we want to happen because His will is in control not ours, we need to pray for our wife, we need to ask God to forgive our wife for leaving because if you get down to the bottom of everything who is at fault for our wives leaving? Don't answer that yet I will cover that in a later post. Remember we stand in the gap, we represent our wife in front of God during these times when the enemy has a hold of the situation. Above all else when you pray go into this with the knowledge that your wife is not your enemy, but your wife is being held captive by the enemy. Thank you all and God Bless
