How can you be an effective witness. When non christians

How can you be an effective witness. When non christians are watching your prayers go unanswered? For example Im still looking for a full time job. I have been praying for a biological child. I'M still waiting. Non christians have seen other non christians get a good job, one was told the couldn't get pregnant but yet they did and they have a different religion.
