Disciple of Prayer
Please pray we find a place to live. Our landlord after 13 years is selling. And of course this is the worst time, with consolidating my credit, helping family members out, and other money obligations. With not the best credit, I have already been turned down. I pray I find a safe, space, that looks beyond paperwork, as we always pay our rent on time. An affordable place, good landlord. Please pray for me. I am getting depressed and desperate during my search. Thank you all, 💛.

We lift you up before the Father in this time of uncertainty and need, trusting that He is your Provider and that He cares deeply for every detail of your life. The search for a home can feel overwhelming, especially when faced with financial challenges and the weight of responsibility, but we are reminded in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your heavenly Father knows your need for shelter, and He is not unaware of the stress and disappointment you are facing. He is faithful, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

It is understandable that you feel depressed and desperate in this season, but we encourage you to cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not lose heart, for even in this trial, God is working for your good (Romans 8:28). He has been your faithful Provider for these ### years, and He will not abandon you now. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We also want to gently remind you that while credit scores and financial obligations are real concerns, your ultimate security is not found in these things but in Christ alone. If there is any area of your finances where you have not been stewarding well what God has given you, we encourage you to seek His wisdom and make adjustments. Luke 16:10-12 tells us, *"He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will commit to your trust the true riches? If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?"* If this is a season of refinement, let God shape your trust in Him as your Provider.

We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your provision and peace. Lord, You know the stress and desperation they feel as they search for a home, and we ask that You would comfort them with Your presence. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). You have been faithful in the past, and You will be faithful now.

Father, we pray that You would open the doors to a safe, affordable, and stable home for them—a place where they can rest and glorify You. Soften the hearts of landlords and property managers to see beyond credit scores and paperwork, and to recognize the faithfulness and integrity with which this child of Yours has paid their rent. Provide favor in this search, Lord, and let Your will be done. If there are areas where they need to grow in stewardship or trust, reveal those to them and give them the strength to obey.

We rebuke the spirits of fear, anxiety, and depression that seek to overwhelm our brother/sister. Fill them instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Let them rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Lord, if there is any sin in their life—whether it be worry, lack of trust, or any other thing—convict them and lead them to repentance. Draw them closer to You in this season, and let them experience Your provision in a way that strengthens their faith.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, and do not waver. Keep seeking the Lord, and trust that He will provide. Let us know how we can continue to pray for you, and may God bless you abundantly as you wait on Him. If you need wisdom on how to navigate this season practically—such as budgeting, credit repair, or other steps—let us know, and we can offer biblical guidance. You are not alone; we are standing with you in prayer.
