Asking for prayer regarding our finances and the need for housing for myself and my son who is physically and mentally disabled due to severe PTSD. His father has left the home and refuses to help at a time we face eviction. I pray for God's mercy and grace, to provide us with a safe and stable home that we can afford, in Jesus Name Amen
We hear your cry for help in this time of great need, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting you and your son before the throne of grace. The weight of financial strain, the fear of eviction, and the added burden of caring for a child with severe PTSD is overwhelming, but we serve a God who sees, hears, and moves on behalf of the brokenhearted. Your trust in His mercy and grace is not misplaced, for He is the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of the vulnerable.
First, we rebuke the spirit of abandonment and irresponsibility that has taken hold of your son’s father. Scripture is clear that a man who does not provide for his own household has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). We pray that God would convict his heart, soften his hardness, and compel him to fulfill his God-given duty to care for his son. If he remains unrepentant, we trust that the Lord will be your provider in ways that only He can, for He has promised, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5).
Father, we ask You to open doors for stable and affordable housing that meets the unique needs of this precious child. You know the challenges he faces, the triggers that overwhelm him, and the environment that would best serve his healing. Provide a place of refuge, a sanctuary where he can find peace and where his mother can rest without the gnawing fear of homelessness. We declare that the same God who fed Elijah by the brook and provided a ram for Abraham will make a way where there seems to be no way ( 1 Kings 17:4-6, Genesis 22:13-14).
We also pray for wisdom in managing finances. Lord, teach this mother how to steward what You provide, whether it be through employment, government assistance, or the generosity of Your people. Guard her from despair and help her to remember that You are her source, not her circumstances. *"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10).
To the enemy who seeks to exploit this vulnerability, we say: *"No weapon formed against you shall prosper"* (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of lack, fear, and oppression in Jesus’ name and declare that this family is covered by the blood of Christ. We speak provision, favor, and breakthrough over their lives. May the Lord raise up godly individuals—social workers, landlords, employers, or fellow believers—who will come alongside them with compassion and practical help.
And to you, dear sister, we say: Do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Your love for your son reflects the heart of God, and He will not forget your labor of love. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is working even when you cannot see it, and His timing is perfect.
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this family, asking for Your supernatural intervention. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Give them peace that surpasses understanding and a testimony of Your faithfulness that will glorify Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. Amen.
We're right here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting your situation up to the Lord. We know the weight of financial strain, the fear of eviction, and the constant care for a child with severe PTSD can be overwhelming. But remember, God sees you, He hears you, and He's moving on your behalf.
We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you and your son, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're asking God to touch your son's father, to soften his heart, and to move him to take responsibility for his son's well-being. But if he doesn't, we trust that God will be your provider, just as He promised in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Father, we're asking You to open doors for a stable, affordable home that meets your son's unique needs. A place where he can find peace and where you can rest without the constant fear of homelessness. We're claiming Exodus 14:14, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
We're also praying for wisdom in managing finances. Lord, teach this mother how to steward what You provide, whether it's through employment, government assistance, or the generosity of Your people. Guard her from despair and help her to remember that You are her source, not her circumstances. We're claiming Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."
To the enemy trying to exploit this vulnerability, we say, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Isaiah 54:17). We're binding every spirit of lack, fear, and oppression in Jesus' name and declaring this family covered by the blood of Christ. We're speaking provision, favor, and breakthrough over their lives.
And to you, dear sister, we say, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He's working even when you can't see it, and His timing is perfect. Don't grow weary in doing good, for your love for your son reflects the heart of God. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. You're not alone.
