We stand with you in this season of trial, lifting your needs before the Father with hearts full of faith, knowing that He is your Provider and Protector. Your cry for mercy and grace has reached the ears of the Lord, who sees your devotion as a mother and your son’s deep need for stability and healing. We praise you for invoking the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we find access to the throne of grace and receive the help we so desperately need (John 14:13-14, Hebrews 4:16).
The weight of caring for your son, especially in the face of abandonment by his father, is one that must feel overwhelming at times. Yet Scripture reminds us that God is the Father to the fatherless and the Defender of widows—and by extension, He is the strength of single mothers who are left to bear burdens alone (Psalm 68:5). The Lord has not forgotten you or your son. He sees the injustice of a father who has turned his back on his responsibilities, and we pray that God would move in his heart to repent and fulfill his duties as a father, or that the Lord would raise up others to fill that gap in your son’s life. For now, we trust that the Lord will be your son’s ultimate Healer, comforting him in his PTSD and restoring his mind and body in ways only He can (Psalm 147:3, Isaiah 41:10).
Your need for housing and financial provision is not hidden from the Lord. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Psalm 50:10, Philippians 4:19). We pray that God would open doors for affordable, safe housing—a place where you and your son can find rest and peace. May He provide favor with landlords, housing programs, or even within the body of Christ, where brothers and sisters may be led to assist you. We also ask the Lord to grant you wisdom in managing finances, creativity in stretching resources, and opportunities for stable income. Let Him lead you to the right resources, whether through employment, assistance programs, or unexpected blessings, so that you lack no good thing (Psalm 84:11).
At the same time, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s face continually in this season. Pour out your fears, your frustrations, and your hopes before Him, for He cares deeply for you (1 Peter 5:7). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you spiritually and practically. If you are not already connected to a church, we urge you to find one where you can be uplifted, prayed for, and possibly assisted in tangible ways. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens, and you do not have to walk this path alone (Galatians 6:2).
We also want to gently remind you that while your focus is rightly on your son’s well-being, your own spiritual and emotional health matters too. The enemy would love to see you overwhelmed by anxiety or bitterness, but the Lord invites you to cast those burdens on Him. Take time to rest in His presence, to read His Word, and to allow Him to renew your strength (Matthew 11:28, Isaiah 40:31). You are doing a sacred work in caring for your son, and the Lord sees your sacrifice.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of this precious sister and her son, lifting their needs to You with confidence that You hear and answer prayer. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who heals. We ask that You would move mightily in their lives, beginning with their need for stable and affordable housing. Open doors that no man can shut, Lord, and provide a home where they can find safety, peace, and rest. Let this home be a place of healing for her son, where Your presence is tangibly felt, and where his mind and body can be restored.
Father, we pray for financial breakthrough. You know the exact amount needed to cover their expenses, and we ask that You would supply it in ways that bring glory to Your name. Give this mother wisdom to steward what You provide, and lead her to opportunities for income or assistance that will sustain them. Lord, we also lift up the heart of her son’s father. Soften his heart, convict him of his responsibility, and draw him to repentance. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken in their family. If not, raise up godly men and women to stand in the gap and be a support to this family.
We pray for supernatural peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove all fear, anxiety, and despair, and replace them with Your hope and joy. Strengthen this mother’s faith, Lord, and remind her daily that she is not alone—You are with her, and Your people are standing with her in prayer.
Finally, Father, we ask for healing for her son. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. Touch his mind, his emotions, and his body, Lord. Bring him comfort in his distress, and let him know that You are near. May he experience Your love in profound ways, and may this season of struggle become a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your provision, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may they see Your hand at work in every detail. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
