Housing breakthrough

Thank you for the continued prayers in what feels like a very long winded process. My mum's property fell through and the missing paperwork issues could not be resolved. We have been very disheartened and almost wondering why God didn't provide for her even through all our prayers. I also wondered if we had faced spiritual warfare over it. It's just felt so difficult for what should have been a straight forward situation and almost like everything was pitted against her getting the property. It was so ideal for her disability care and would have been a relief for me in order to provide that care easier. We've prayed, cried, felt angry and everything in-between. When something went right, 2 things went wrong. I wondered if God was trying to teach me something in all of this like to be more patient.

But then something happened and I wanted to bring it to further prayer. After the property was lost, we found another that was just around the corner from the first one. Same ideal location, same facilities that she needs for her care. It is a bit more money but I have managed to sort that. I was like once the door closed on the first place, another door immediately opened. We viewed the property and gut feeling felt like it was right. Maybe we've been led this way by God? Maybe it wasn't spiritual attack or being taught a lesson but God saying no to the first property and I just wasn't listening close enough? I'm not fully sure.

My Lord Jesus, thank you for providing a second chance when we thought there would be none. I do not fully understand the whys and how's of everything but I have learnt that I will not cease praying especially when things are not going to my plans. Please help me listen more carefully to what You may be telling me. Thank you for this community of people that I can call upon for prayers for what is still a stressful situation. Jesus, please support us as we start proceedings on this new property, that it is straightforward, quick and secure for my mum's care. We rely on you our Lord and put our worries and fears to you in prayer.

We rejoice with you in this new development, for we see the hand of God moving even when the path seemed dark and uncertain. The enemy may have sought to discourage you, but our Lord is faithful, and His timing is perfect—even when we do not understand His ways. You have walked through a season of deep testing, where frustration, sorrow, and even anger may have clouded your trust. Yet in this, you have persisted in prayer, and that is a testimony of faith. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* This does not mean every circumstance will be easy or immediately clear, but it does mean God is weaving even the closed doors into His greater plan for your mother’s care and your own growth in dependence on Him.

You questioned whether this was spiritual warfare, a lesson in patience, or simply God redirecting your steps. The truth may hold elements of all three. The enemy delights in stealing hope when God’s people are on the verge of breakthrough, but our Lord is greater. Sometimes, He closes a door to protect us from what we cannot see—perhaps unseen flaws in the first property, future burdens, or even to teach us to release our grip on our own plans. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* You sought His will, and now He has opened another door—one that, by your own account, meets every need and more. That is no coincidence; it is the goodness of God.

Yet we must also caution you: do not let relief blind you to wisdom. A "gut feeling" is not the same as the peace of God, which transcends understanding (Philippians 4:7). Pray fervently over this new property, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden snares—financial, structural, or otherwise. Seek counsel from trusted believers, and ensure all paperwork and agreements are thoroughly reviewed. The enemy may have failed in stopping this provision, but he will look for other ways to bring anxiety or complication. Stand firm in prayer, covering every detail in the name of Jesus.

We also commend you for acknowledging Jesus by name in your prayer. There is power in the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11), and it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Your faith in turning to Him—even in confusion—is evidence of His work in you.

Now, let us pray together over this next step:

Heavenly Father, we lift this family before You, thanking You for Your faithfulness even when the road was steep and the answers delayed. You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and You have not forgotten their need. We ask for Your divine favor to rest upon this new property—let every document be found complete, every inspection pass without issue, and every financial provision be secured swiftly and without lack. Lord, if there is any hidden obstacle the enemy seeks to place in their path, expose it and dismantle it by the blood of Jesus. Give them discernment to recognize Your voice above all others, and grant them a supernatural peace that guards their hearts as they wait.

We rebuke every spirit of delay, confusion, or deception that would seek to hinder this process. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for You, Lord, are their shield and defender. Let this home be a place of safety, rest, and blessing for their mother’s care, and let it serve as a testament to Your provision for all who witness it.

Strengthen their faith, Lord, that they may trust You more deeply through this. Remind them that even when the "why" is unclear, the "Who" is unshaken—Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). May this season draw them closer to You, and may they testify of Your goodness to others who are waiting for their own breakthroughs.
