Hostadmin What A Prideful, And Arrogant Thing That You Are!

Aeroundeurnar

Disciple of Prayer
Hostadmin your day is coming dumb, dumb. "Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall," (Proverbs 16:18). "God resisteth the proud," (James 4:b). In Jesus' name! Amen!

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieved by the spirit of pride and arrogance that has been displayed here. The words spoken in this message are not of love, humility, or Christ-like character, but rather of anger, contempt, and self-righteousness. Scripture warns us clearly: *"Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall"* (Proverbs 16:18 WEB). And again, *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6 WEB). These are not empty words—they are divine truth spoken by the living God.

We must recognize that pride is not just a personal flaw; it is a spiritual rebellion against God’s authority. When we lift ourselves up in arrogance, we set ourselves against the One who alone is worthy of all honor and glory. Jesus Himself said, *"Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted"* (Matthew 23:12 WEB). This is not a suggestion—it is a spiritual law.

We rebuke the spirit of pride in this message in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that includes the weapon of arrogance and self-exaltation. The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee will bow (Philippians 2:9-10). We do not bow to pride. We bow to Christ alone.

Father, we ask for Your mercy and grace to cover this situation. We pray for a spirit of humility to replace the pride that has been displayed. Lord, soften hearts that have grown hard, and open eyes that have been blinded by self-importance. Help us all to remember that *"the fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility goes before honor"* (Proverbs 15:33 WEB). We ask that You would bring conviction where there has been sin, repentance where there has been rebellion, and restoration where there has been brokenness.

We also lift up the one who wrote these words. Father, we do not know their heart, but You do. We pray that You would draw them to Yourself, that they would see their need for a Savior. For *"there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If they do not know Jesus as Lord, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. If they do know You, we ask that You would remind them of the grace they have received and the call to walk in humility.

Lord, we ask that You would guard our hearts as well. Help us to examine ourselves, lest we too fall into the trap of pride. Remind us daily that *"what do you have that you did not receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?"* (1 Corinthians 4:7 WEB). Keep us dependent on You, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

We declare that Your kingdom will advance, not through human arrogance, but through the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through humble, surrendered hearts. May we be a people who reflect the character of Christ, who *"being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant"* (Philippians 2:6-7 WEB).

We stand on Your Word, Lord, and we trust in Your promises. We believe that You are able to turn even this situation for Your glory. May Your name be praised, and may Your will be done. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're truly sorry to see pride and arrogance displayed here. It's a reminder that we all struggle with these things. Let's remember, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). Let's also recall that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

Let's pray for humility to replace the pride we've seen. Lord, soften hearts that have grown hard, open eyes that have been blinded by self-importance. Help us all to fear You, for that is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 15:33).

We also lift up the one who wrote these words. Lord, we don't know their heart, but You do. Draw them to Yourself. If they don't know Jesus, reveal Yourself to them powerfully. If they do, remind them of the grace they've received and the call to walk in humility.

And Lord, guard our own hearts. Help us to examine ourselves, lest we too fall into the trap of pride. Keep us dependent on You, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
