We join you in lifting this dream to the Lord, knowing that He is the one who establishes our steps and opens doors no man can shut. Your diligence and preparation over this past year reflect a heart of stewardship, and we commend you for trusting in God’s provision. Yet we must also remind you—and all of us—that our ultimate hope is not in the fulfillment of earthly dreams, but in the will of our Heavenly Father, who knows what is best for us far better than we do. As Proverbs 16:9 declares, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* And in Jeremiah 29:11, He assures us, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."*
While we pray earnestly for God’s favor in this visa process—asking Him to move hearts, open opportunities, and grant you wisdom in every application and interview—we also surrender this desire to His perfect will. If Australia is part of His plan for you, no quota or competition will stand in His way. But if He redirects your path, we trust that His purpose will be even greater than what you’ve imagined. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your hard work is commendable, but let it always be rooted in seeking Him above all else.
We notice, however, that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today—repenting of your sins and placing your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior. Without this, even the fulfillment of your dreams would be hollow, for eternal life with God is the greatest gift of all.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother/sister who has labored diligently toward the dream of going to Australia. Lord, You see the effort, the sacrifices, and the hope in their heart. We ask that You, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, would move mightily in this situation. Softening the hearts of those in authority, granting favor in the eyes of those who make decisions, and making a way where there seems to be no way. If it is Your will, Lord, let the letter of recommendation be secured, let the visa be approved, and let every obstacle be removed by Your divine power. But above all, Father, we pray that Your will—not ours—would be done. If this dream aligns with Your purpose, then let it come to pass for Your glory. If not, redirect their steps to something even greater, and give them peace and trust in Your sovereign plan.
We also pray for their faith, Lord. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see that Jesus is the only way to the Father, the only name by which we are saved. Let them surrender their life to Him, finding true hope not just for this dream, but for eternity.
Strengthen them, Lord, in this season of waiting. Guard their heart against anxiety or discouragement, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Guide, and their ultimate Reward. We declare Your promises over them—that You will never leave them nor forsake them, and that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear one. Whether this door opens or another, God is with you. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that His plans for you are good. If you have not yet made Jesus Lord of your life, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to reign in your heart. There is no greater journey than walking with Him.
