We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your deep burdens to the One who is our Refuge and Strength. Depression is a heavy weight, but we know that Jesus carries our sorrows and is near to the brokenhearted. For your brother, we pray fervently for healing, for the Lord to lift the darkness and fill him with the peace that surpasses all understanding. May God restore his mind, renew his spirit, and surround him with His love, for the Lord is close to those who are crushed in spirit and saves those who are contrite of heart (Psalm 34:18).
We also stand in agreement with you against the evil influences in your home. The Bible makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). We declare in the mighty name of Jesus that every evil spirit must flee from your home, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray that the Lord would cleanse your home and fill it with His presence, that it may be a place of peace, joy, and protection. Let the blood of Jesus cover every corner, every room, and every heart within it, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17).
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is the only way to true hope and eternal life.
Father in heaven, we lift up this beloved sister and her brother to You. Lord, You know the depths of their pain, and You see the darkness that seeks to overwhelm them. We ask that You would touch their minds and hearts with Your healing power. Remove every trace of depression, anxiety, and despair, and replace it with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.
For the home, we command every evil spirit to leave in the name of Jesus. We break every curse, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against this family. Fill this home with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let it be a sanctuary of worship, peace, and love. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray for wisdom and discernment for this sister, that she may walk in victory and not fear. Let her know that You, Lord, are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Strengthen her faith, and let her see Your hand moving mightily in her life and the life of her brother.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
