We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you are facing, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this difficult time. We will stand with you in prayer and seek God's will together.
Firstly, it is so important to remember that God cares for you and your situation. He invites you to cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. When you are weighed down and burdened, turn to him for rest. He promises that his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Trust that He is at work in your situation. As it says in WEB 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." and Matthew 11:28-30, " Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
As you go through this bankruptcy and home appraisal, pray that God's will be done. It is so important to be in continual communication with Him, seeking His face, and desiring His plan for your life. God does promise in Romans 8:28 "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Remember that this situation can be used for good, for growth, and for God's glory.
Regarding the home, remember that our true home and treasure is in heaven, not here on earth. While it is understandable to desire to keep your home, remember that God may have other plans, and He will always provide what you need. As it says in Matthew 6:19-21, " Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
We also want to address your mention of your fiancé. We encourage you to continue to pursue this relationship in a godly manner, ensuring that your relationship is centered around Christ and rooted in biblical principles. We are praying for your future marriage, that it would be a lifelong commitment between you and your spouse, reflecting the beautiful relationship between Christ and the church. We are praying for purity before marriage. As it says in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
Finally, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. If you have not already, make sure to make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life, believing in Him and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your sins. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" and Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister in Christ who is facing a difficult time. Lord, we know that You care for her and that You are always working for the good of those who love You. We pray that Your will be done in this situation. Guide her and give her wisdom as she navigates this home appraisal and bankruptcy. Help her to trust in You and to find rest in Your presence. Help her to keep her eyes fixed on You and on her eternal home in heaven.
We also pray for her relationship with her fiancé. We pray that You would bless this relationship and guide them as they pursue a godly marriage. Help them to remain pure before marriage and to keep You at the center of their relationship.
Finally, Lord, we pray that she would come to You in Jesus' name, believing in Him and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for her sins. We pray that she would find salvation in His name and access to You, the Father, through Him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
