🧎🏽‍♂️ "We bow our knees before You, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every father in heaven and earth derives his title, we ask You grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with power and might through Your Spirit in the inside, that Christ may live in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and established in LOVE, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to experience the Love of Christ that passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to God who is ABLE to do exceedingly beyond all we can ask or imagine, by the the power of The Holy Spirit that works in us, to Him be The Glory in The Church, by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever. Amen," Eph 3:14-20.

We stand in awe of the powerful prayer you’ve lifted from Ephesians 3:14-20, a passage that stirs our hearts to seek the fullness of God’s Spirit, the depth of Christ’s love, and the strengthening power of the Holy Spirit within us. This prayer is not merely words, it is a cry for transformation, for divine enablement, and for the supernatural work of God in our innermost being. We join with you in this holy pursuit, for it is only through Christ that we can be filled with all the fullness of God.

The apostle Paul’s words remind us that our strength does not come from ourselves but from the Spirit of God dwelling within us. When we are weak, He is strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). When we feel inadequate, His grace is sufficient. When we struggle to comprehend the vastness of Christ’s love, we must remember that it is a love that surpasses knowledge, a love that was demonstrated on the cross, where Jesus laid down His life for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). This love is not something we earn; it is something we receive by faith and allow to root and ground us in every season of life.

We must also recognize that this prayer is not just for personal edification but for the glory of God in His Church. When we are filled with the fullness of God, we become vessels through which His power and love flow to others. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us (Romans 8:11), and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. This is not a promise of material prosperity or worldly success, but of spiritual empowerment to live holy, fruitful lives that bring glory to God.

Yet, we must examine our hearts as we pray this prayer. Are we truly seeking God’s will above our own desires? Are we surrendering every area of our lives, our relationships, our ambitions, our finances, our thoughts, to His lordship? The fullness of God cannot dwell where sin is harbored. If there is unconfessed sin in our lives, whether it be bitterness, lust, pride, idolatry, or any other disobedience, we must repent and turn away from it, for God is holy and cannot tolerate sin in His presence (1 John 1:5-6). If we are living in sexual immorality, whether through fornication, adultery, or same-sex relationships, we must recognize that these are not God’s design for intimacy. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and any sexual activity outside of that union is contrary to God’s Word (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). We must flee from these sins and pursue holiness, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

If we are in a dating relationship that does not honor God, perhaps one that is not leading toward marriage, or one where we are unequally yoked with an unbeliever (2 Corinthians 6:14), we must seek God’s wisdom and be willing to make difficult choices. Courtship should always have the goal of marriage in mind, and marriage should only be between two believers who share the same faith in Christ. If we are not yet married, we must guard our hearts and bodies, keeping ourselves pure until that day (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).

We also lift up those who may be struggling with doubt or uncertainty about their salvation. If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). To be saved, you must repent of your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and confess Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). If you have never made this decision, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict you and draw you to Christ.

Let us now lift our voices together in prayer, echoing the cry of Ephesians 3:14-20 and asking God to move mightily in our lives:

Heavenly Father, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We come before You in humility and reverence, acknowledging that apart from You, we can do nothing. We ask, according to the riches of Your glory, that You would strengthen us with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. Lord, we long for Christ to dwell in our hearts through faith, that we may be rooted and established in love. We pray that we would have the power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, that we would know this love that surpasses knowledge and be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Father, we confess that there are areas in our lives where we have not surrendered to You. Forgive us for harboring sin, for pursuing our own desires rather than Your will, and for seeking fulfillment in anything other than You. Cleanse us by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within us. Help us to walk in holiness and obedience, fleeing from temptation and pursuing righteousness.

We pray for those who are struggling in their relationships. If there are those living in sexual immorality, whether through fornication, adultery, or same-sex relationships, we ask that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Give them the strength to turn away from sin and to pursue Your design for intimacy and marriage. For those who are dating or courting, we pray that You would guide them toward godly marriages that honor You. May they seek spouses who share their faith and commitment to Christ, and may their relationships be marked by purity, selflessness, and a shared desire to serve You.

For those who are married, we pray that You would strengthen their unions. Help husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the Church, and wives to submit to their husbands as to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22-33). Heal any brokenness, restore any division, and fill their homes with Your peace and joy.

Lord, we also lift up those who are struggling with doubt or who have not yet surrendered their lives to You. We pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them to Jesus, that they would repent of their sins and place their faith in Him. May they experience the new birth and the indwelling of Your Spirit, and may they walk in the fullness of life that You offer.

Father, we thank You that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us. To You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Oh Lord, we’re so grateful for this heartfelt cry from Ephesians 3, this isn’t just a prayer, it’s a desperate longing for the very life of God to take root in us. We feel the weight of your invitation to be strengthened from the inside out, where Christ can dwell so deeply that we start to overflow with His love in ways that feel impossible on our own.

There’s something so tender about the way you’re asking to comprehend the love of Christ, that vast, unsearchable depth. We’ve all stood in awe of how wide and long His love is, but we know it’s not just about knowing it intellectually, it’s about letting it change us. So we’re praying right now that the Holy Spirit would open our eyes to see the ways we’ve been settling for shallow imitations of His love instead of the real thing. Help us to drop the distractions, the pride, the half-hearted surrender, whatever’s been keeping us from experiencing the fullness You’ve promised.

And Father, we can’t help but notice how this prayer isn’t just personal, it’s ecclesial. It’s not just about us being filled; it’s about the Church being filled, so that the glory of Christ would shine through all of us to generations yet unborn. So we’re praying for those who are still searching, still doubting, still living in ways that don’t reflect Your holiness. Lord, stir their hearts. Give them grace to see the cost of Your love, not just the cross, but the every day surrender it demands. And for those of us who are already Yours, help us to be vessels that hold Your fullness, not just for ourselves, but so others can taste and see that You are good.

We’re asking in Jesus’ name, where His love was poured out, where His Spirit was poured in, and where His glory is displayed. Let it be so in us. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
