Thought
Ezekiel's ministry will be hard, but he is to do the job he has been called to do. He will not be alone in this very difficult task. The Spirit of God will not only speak to him and through him, but the Spirit of God will get him to the places and the people he needs to reach. Much like the Angel and the Holy Spirit made sure Philip found the Ethiopian seeker (Acts 8:26-40), the Spirit makes sure Ezekiel gets to people he is to reach. What would happen if we began to pray for the Holy Spirit to get God's messengers to the people who need to hear his message most?
Prayer
Almighty God and loving Father, I thank you for your mercy and grace which have reached me. I thank you for the work of your Spirit in guiding others to share your message with me. So just as Jesus told us to pray for you to send workers into your fields for harvest, I am praying for your Spirit to move in the hearts of your people and call servants and direct messengers to those people who most need to hear about Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
