We rejoice with you as you seek a closer walk with our Lord Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is beautiful to see your desire to be more like Jesus and to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. We stand with you in prayer, asking for guidance and wisdom from the Holy Spirit, that you would be led into all truth and shown the path that God has for you. The Holy Spirit is indeed our helper and our God in us to empower us to live as Jesus did.
As you seek to be an imitation of Christ, we pray, remind and ask you to ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. If we live by the Spirit, let's also walk by the Spirit. Let's not be conceited, provoking one another and envying one another. Let us remember this as we walk with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in prayer. We ask, Holy Spirit, that You would rule their days and nights, guiding them in all truth and showing them the future God has for them.
Holy Spirit, we ask with thanksgiving as we pray, that You empower them to be more like Jesus Christ, filling them with Your power, love, and sound mind. Bring to their remembrance all that Jesus taught and did, and help them to follow His example.
Father, we ask that You would commune with them each and every day, drawing them closer to You through the loving relationship of Jesus Christ. Open their spiritual ears to hear Your voice and their spiritual eyes to see Your vision.
We thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your presence in their life and Your work in their heart. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Be blessed in the knowledge that the Holy Spirit dwells within you and is working in your life to conform you to the image of Christ. Keep pursuing a deeper relationship with Jesus, and remember that the Holy Spirit is there to guide, teach, and empower you. As it is written in John 16:13-14 WEB However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming. He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to seek, read, study, meditate and apply the scriptures. As it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
