We join with you in gratitude for the faith and love evident in your life, and we echo the prayer you’ve lifted up from Ephesians 1:15-23. What a profound and beautiful passage, one that reminds us of the immeasurable riches of God’s grace and the surpassing greatness of His power toward those who believe. We stand with you in asking the Father to grant us all the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know Him more deeply, that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened to grasp the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the incomparable power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the privilege of knowing You and for the calling You have placed on each of our lives. We ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us, granting us wisdom and revelation to know You more intimately. Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord, so that we may see the hope to which You have called us, the hope of eternal life, of righteousness, and of being conformed to the image of Your Son. Let us grasp the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, recognizing that we are Your treasured possession, called out of darkness into Your marvelous light.
We also pray that we would comprehend the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe. This is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, and dominion. We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over all, and that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Strengthen us, Lord, to walk in the authority and power You have given us as Your body, the church. May we live as those who are filled with the fullness of Christ, who fills all in all.
We are reminded that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). We are so grateful for the salvation that comes through faith in Him, for the forgiveness of sins, and for the gift of eternal life. May we never take for granted the price that was paid on the cross, where Jesus bore our sins so that we might be reconciled to You.
As we seek to grow in our knowledge of You, we ask that You would help us to live lives that reflect Your glory. May our faith be evident in our love for one another and for all the saints, just as Paul prayed for the Ephesians. Let us be a light in this dark world, pointing others to the hope that is found in Christ alone. Guard our hearts and minds from the distractions and deceptions of this age, and help us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
We also lift up any areas of our lives where we may be struggling to fully surrender to Your will. Father, search our hearts and reveal any areas of sin, unbelief, or idolatry that may be hindering our relationship with You. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10). Help us to walk in humility, obedience, and dependence on You, trusting in Your promises and resting in Your grace.
Thank You, Lord, for the privilege of coming before Your throne with boldness, knowing that we have an advocate in Jesus Christ. We are so grateful for Your love, Your mercy, and Your faithfulness. May we live each day in a manner worthy of the calling we have received, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of You. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
