Glorious Resurrection Sabbath:

Sometimes I like to ask Ai random "what if" questions just for the feedback. I recently posed such a question. The results were interesting, to say the least.

Question: What if Jesus had put God on hold?

Query result...
Based on theological discussions regarding the crucifixion, if Jesus had "put God on hold"—meaning if he had refused the mission, backed out, or successfully been tempted to avoid the cross—the consequences would have been catastrophic within Christian theology, as the entire structure of salvation would have collapsed.

Here are the potential outcomes if Jesus had not followed through with God’s plan:

No Salvation for Humanity: The primary consequence would be that humanity would remain responsible for the penalty of sin, which is death. Without the sacrificial death of Jesus to pay for sins, there would be no salvation.

A "Broken" Trinity: Theologically, it is argued that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one; if Jesus disobeyed the Father, it would mean the Triune God was "broken," which is considered a theological impossibility.

God Viewed as Untrustworthy: Because the Old Testament promises a Savior, if Jesus had backed out, it would have rendered God a liar, according to some perspectives.

The Rise of Evil: If Jesus had succumbed to temptation and failed, it is argued that Satan would have won, leading the world to become completely dominated by evil.

No Christianity: The foundational event of Christianity would never have occurred, meaning no resurrection, no church, and no gospel message.

In summary, from a Christian perspective, Jesus putting God on hold would have meant that humanity would have no way to be reconciled with God, resulting in eternal spiritual separation.

End of query result.

Certainly, in his humaness, Jesus had plans and life goals:
"Saying, Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from me: NEVERTHELESS not my will, but Thine, be done." (Luke Ch.22 v.42, KJV)

While Jesus's earthly father prepared him for a probable career path, His heavenly Father purposed Him for a divine one. But, what a permanent state of defeat this world would've remained had he chosen to put God on hold while he lived out his own life plans, or the plans that man prescribed for him. Had Jesus chosen to sell out, he no doubt, would've been a world renowned craftsman; or most assuredly, a dynamic pastor, with a huge church building amongst the Pharisees. But God is omniscient.

Though they almost always oppose man's design, God knows the plans He has for us. His timing and plans are perfect. When He, not man, says go, He means go (Abraham). When He says wait (Children of Israel), He means wait. Interference (efforts to hinder God's plans) only elicits chaos, delay, and even denial, both to those who initiate the interference and to those who participate. Nevertheless, man's interference can never overpower God. As testified to throughout scripture, God's servant are often hemmed in:

But the Word of God is not bound. (2 Timothy Ch.2 v.9, KJV)

You see, the devil doesn't mind that we pledge allegiance to God; he just doesn't want us to complete our assignments. He knows how crucial it is for us to carry out our assignments for God, which is why he tries to obstruct the process.

Satan hates all things God. He's resentful because, instead of fulfilling of his own assignment, he opted to try and steal God's honor for himself. Just like in school where various assignments are required to finish a course, there are various aspects to our assignments; yet, every component is governed by God’s "To Do" timeline rather than human scheduling.

The devil knows that upon completion of our assignments, we enter into the fullness of covenant. Therefore, he compasses about, if possible, convincing even God’s elect to reject certain aspects of our coursework. Fear of the unknown is the devil's tool. The unknown can be very scary (Abraham). But, Love (obedience to Christ) cast out all fear. Therefore, to step out on faith is the ultimate bravery in the devil's face, whereby God bestows honor.

All things considered, it's neither about the servant's glory nor the city's glory, persé. For, it was only after the Son glorified the Father—in the earth, that He was then glorified in heaven. That same level of completion is necessary for both servant and city. Therefore, the cities must be tested. A city's responsibility in that testing is not to control the ministry; but, to simply obey Christ's instructions: Orphans - Widows - The Least of These My Brethren. The daughter (city) will be honored only after she honors the Father.

IT'S ALL ABOUT GOD'S GLORY

Happy Easter Y'all

Irrespective of man's approval, as King David said, "The steps of a good man are ordered by God." Another song—Please note that, even in this song, the first step is to "seek His face."
🎶I sought the Lord
🎶And He heard
🎶And He answered

Live the resurrection of Christ. Christ did not rise to sin.

The pitiful truth. Like one who grabs a stray dog by the ears is someone who rushes into a quarrel not their own. Proverbs 27:14 This heresy against me all started with "that woman." But, in embracing false accusations against me, this city has inadvertently involved herself in "that woman's,"...
