hi my name is aisha and my partner is luke. i am a carrier of a disease called duchenne muscular dystrophy. a disease which affects boys and has a very short life expectancy. my younger brother has this disease and i watch him get worse as the days go by he can no longer walk and is in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. the doctors dont expect him to reach adulthood which is very distressing for all the family. i am currently 10 weeks pregnant and am waiting to no wheater or not my baby has the disease. i am very scared at the moment and pray every night my baby is not affected. on tuesday next week i will be having a test done which is called a cvs test, which will take samples of my babys placenta to reveal if my baby has the disies or not. on friday next week i will no the results im praying for a miricle as i dont want this baby to suffer like my brother is and i dont want this disease to continue to make my family struggle. i hope people can help me pray xx my request is that you can pray my baby is not affected by this disease x
