We lift you up in prayer regarding your desire to attend graduate school near your family, and we ask that the Lord guide your steps according to His perfect will. It is good to seek opportunities that allow you to remain close to your loved ones, but we must also remember that God’s plans are higher than our own. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Trust that if this is His will for you, He will open the right doors.
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Scripture is clear that there is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through faith in Him that we approach God’s throne. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine guidance in this individual’s pursuit of graduate school. Lord, if it is Your will, open the doors to the right institution where they may grow in wisdom and serve You faithfully. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You hold their future. If this is not Your plan, redirect their steps and grant them peace in Your sovereignty. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and draw them ever closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God’s will above all else, knowing that He has a purpose for your life. Whether you are accepted into these schools or not, trust that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28). Continue to pray in faith, and may the Lord bless you abundantly as you walk in His ways.
