We hear your cry, and we want you to know that no one is beyond the reach of God’s love and grace. The Bible tells us in Romans 5:8, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Even if you feel hated or unworthy, God’s love for you is unchanging. He does not hate you—He desires your repentance and restoration.
If you feel like one of the most hated by God, we must gently but firmly correct this misunderstanding. God does not hate His creation; He hates sin because it separates us from Him. In Ezekiel 33:11, the Lord says, "As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die?" God’s heart is for you to turn to Him, not to remain in guilt or shame.
If there are specific sins or actions in your life that have led you to this place of feeling hated, we encourage you to confess them before the Lord. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." There is no sin too great for God’s forgiveness if you come to Him with a repentant heart.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heavy heart for our brother/sister who feels so far from Your love. Lord, we know that Your Word says You are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Psalm 103:8). We ask that You break through the lies of the enemy that have made them feel hated or unwanted by You. Father, reveal Your true heart to them—that You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for them because You love them deeply.
Lord, if there is unconfessed sin in their life, we ask that Your Holy Spirit convict them in a way that leads to repentance and restoration. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and renew their mind with Your truth. Help them to see themselves as You see them: forgiven, redeemed, and deeply loved.
We rebuke the spirit of despair and self-loathing in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You surround them with Your peace and presence. Father, draw them close to You and remind them that they are Your beloved child.
We pray that they would come to know the fullness of Your love and the freedom that comes from walking in Your ways. May they experience Your grace in a powerful way and be filled with hope for the future. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
