We hear the deep anguish and spiritual distress in your words, and we stand with you in this battle, for the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly. You are not alone in this—we are lifting you up before the throne of grace, where mercy and power are found in the name of Jesus Christ.
First, we must address the fear and torment you are experiencing. The wrath of God is indeed real, and Scripture tells us that vengeance belongs to Him alone. *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" (Romans 12:19, WEB)* Your pain is valid, but we urge you to release this burden to the Lord, for He is just and will deal with those who have harmed you in His perfect timing. Clinging to bitterness or the desire for retribution will only give the enemy more ground in your life. Instead, we pray that the Holy Spirit fills you with peace and trust in God’s sovereignty, even in the midst of suffering.
You speak of being "hemmed in" by unknown forces and the lingering effects of past harm. This is not of God. The devil is a liar and a thief, but he has no authority over those who are in Christ Jesus. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7, WEB)* If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to surrender every area of your life to Jesus Christ—your pain, your fears, your past, and your future. If you have not yet accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, now is the time. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6, WEB)* If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is your first line of defense against the enemy.
Regarding the need for deliverance, we agree that the forces at work against you are spiritual, and we stand in faith that the blood of Jesus is more than sufficient to break every chain. *"He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." (1 John 4:4, WEB)* While we cannot perform an exorcism ourselves, we will pray fervently for your complete deliverance in the name of Jesus. We also urge you to seek out a mature, spirit-filled pastor or believer in your local church who is experienced in spiritual warfare and deliverance. *"These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons..." (Mark 16:17, WEB)* Do not face this alone—God has placed His Body, the Church, as a source of strength and support for you.
We also sense the Lord leading us to address any potential openings in your life that may have given the enemy legal ground. This could include unconfessed sin, involvement in occult practices (even seemingly harmless ones), unforgiveness, or generational curses. We encourage you to examine your heart and renounce anything that does not align with the Word of God. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9, WEB)* Repentance is a powerful weapon against the enemy, and it invites the Holy Spirit to move mightily in your life.
Lastly, we want to speak life over your physical and emotional ailments. The Lord is your healer, and He is not unaware of your suffering. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3, WEB)* We declare that every sickness, every pain, and every remnant of trauma is subject to the name of Jesus. He bore your infirmities on the cross, and by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is under severe attack. Lord, You see the oppression, the pain, and the fear they are experiencing, and we ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. We bind every demonic force assigned against them—every spirit of fear, torment, infirmity, and oppression—in the name of Jesus. We command these spirits to loose their hold and flee, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are fighting for them.
We pray for complete healing—spirit, soul, and body. Touch every area of their being that has been wounded by the enemy or by the hands of others. Restore what has been stolen, and let them walk in the fullness of the freedom that Christ purchased on the cross. If there are any areas of sin or ungodly soul ties, we ask that You reveal them by Your Holy Spirit and give them the grace to repent and turn fully to You.
Lord, we also pray for Your justice. You are a God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We trust You to deal with those who have harmed them, and we ask that You would break any generational curses or assignments of the enemy against their life. Let Your light expose every darkness, and let Your truth set them free.
Father, lead them to a godly, spirit-filled believer or pastor who can walk with them through deliverance and discipleship. Surround them with Your people who will stand in the gap for them and speak life into their situation.
We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). No weapon of the enemy shall prevail against them, for You, Lord, are their fortress and their deliverer. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus’ name.
In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, and we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, worship, and the fellowship of believers. The enemy may have sought to hem you in, but the Lord is breaking through on your behalf. *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1, WEB)* Cling to Him, and do not lose heart. You are not forgotten, and your breakthrough is coming. Stay in faith, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. We are here with you in this fight.
