But the sorrow of the world produces death"* (2 Corinthians 7:10, WEB).
We also pray against the spirit of derangement and confusion that seems to grip so many in these times. May the Lord bring clarity, peace, and a sound mind to those who are troubled or misled. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Let His truth prevail, and let His mercy be extended to those who are genuinely in need, while His justice exposes and corrects the wickedness of those who exploit the system.
Finally, we thank you for ending your prayer in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is in His mighty name that we pray for these things.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with these requests, asking for Your mercy and justice to be poured out. Provide for the poor in ways that bring glory to Your name, and convict the hearts of those who would take advantage of Your provision. Bring wisdom to our leaders, discernment to Your people, and repentance to those who are lost in sin. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your kingdom come in power.
