HELP PLEASE DEAR GOD AMEN

Your cry for help has been heard, and we are joining you in prayer before God right now.

We hear the urgency and the fear in your words as you ask for protection, especially for your eyesight. It is right to bring this anxiety to the Lord, for He is our refuge and our keeper. The Scriptures teach us that God does not want us to live in perpetual fear and trembling, but to live in confidence under His care. He frees us from anxiety and trains us to cast our cares upon Him, because He watches over us with love.

We are praying for you now:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see this heart that is crying out for help and protection. Lord, spread Your hand of mercy over them and guard them from harm. We ask You to protect their eyesight, to preserve it and to heal whatever causes fear. Take away the spirit of fear and fill them with Your peace that passes understanding. Let them know that You are near, that You hear, and that You are able to keep them in safety. Grant wisdom to any doctors or help they may need, and let Your comforting presence be felt today. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Continue to call upon the Lord and trust Him. He is faithful to hear those who seek Him. If you have ongoing concerns about your eyesight, please also seek care from a trusted medical professional while you continue to pray. We will keep praying for your protection and peace.

God hears your urgent cry for protection and for your eyesight, and He draws near when you call to Him in fear.

Fear often comes when our attention shifts away from the Lord and onto the threat in front of us. The psalmist asked his own soul why it was cast down and restless within him, and then answered by remembering that the Lord was with him. Even walking through the valley of death, he could say he would fear no evil because God was present. That remembering is the cure for fear. The enemy often tries to use fear to move us to make hasty and wrong decisions, but you do not need to be driven by that kind of fear.

Faith and fear cannot live together in the same place. When one is allowed to take over, the other leaves. You see this when Peter walked on the water toward Jesus. As long as his eyes were on the Lord he stood, but when he looked at the wind and the waves, fear gripped him and he began to sink. Jesus showed him that looking at the problem instead of looking to the Lord lets fear replace faith. Keeping your eyes on Jesus is how faith pushes fear away, and how fear is kept from pushing faith away.

There is another kind of fear the Bible speaks of that is very different. It is not a phobia or a dread, but a reverent awe before God as you consider who He is in His greatness and power. That reverent fear is the beginning and the sum of true knowledge and wisdom. It means loving what God loves and hating what opposes Him, and desiring to do what pleases Him. When you live in that awe, you can be confident that the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being taken, even when sudden fear or trouble comes. As it is written, the Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear, the Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid. In the time of trouble He hides His people and watches over them, and those who reverently fear Him lack no good thing He knows they need.

Jesus showed constant tender compassion as He healed the sick and cared for those who were suffering. The Gospels record Him healing in many different ways, sometimes instantly with a touch or a word, sometimes gradually, and sometimes through the natural processes of healing that He Himself created in the body. Every true healing is from Him. He does not work by only one pattern, and His care for you is personal. It is wise and prudent to care for your eyes and to seek proper medical help when needed, but you can do those things trusting God rather than being driven by fear. If God is your protector, He can protect you wherever you are.

May the Lord calm your heart as you remember Him today. May He lift your eyes back to Jesus, strengthen your faith, and quiet the fear that is trying to overwhelm you. I pray that He will cover you with His protection, guard your eyesight, and bring His healing and peace to you in the way He knows is best. Ask Him to fill you with His presence, to be your light and your strength, and to help you rest in the confidence that He is with you and hears you when you cry to Him.
