Dear L### Jesus, please help me lose weight. I have even off my diet today but I needed a bit more energy help me go back tomorrow or the next few days and not gain much or any. And lose more later.

I will pray in Jesus's name that you eat a healthy diet and get down to your desired weight. I know how hard it can be: I have a dear friend as well as a close relative who are trying to lose weight. I am convinced especially with my relative that if she could lose the weight, she would be able to keep it off. I did well with just giving up sugar and processed foods and consuming more protein. Don't fall into what I call the "might-as-well" trap. That's when you tell yourself because you already had two cookies and ruined your diet, you might as well go ahead and eat the whole box. My other tip: If you absolutely must give yourself something sweet once a week -- no more -- make it a very limited, SMALL portion of something you really love. With me it's high quality chocolate or my homemade rice pudding. I'm not going to cheat by having a stale Twinkie or an oatmeal cookie that I don't even like. Better still, try to just give up all foods containing sugar while you're on the diet. If you can make it through the first two weeks, your taste buds will change. If the best you can do is just the once-a-week small treat, you'll likely still end up with much lower sweet cravings.Dear L### Jesus, please help me lose weight.
