Disciple of Prayer
I seek the lord to help me with a bad habits and wrong mind thoughts. I started a new venture in life and also seek help with me doing the right things. I am a just a single son of the father. I would love to understand his word better and seek his voice inthe things around me.

We lift you up before the Father, our dear brother, as you seek His strength to overcome bad habits, wrong thoughts, and the desire to walk in His will for this new season of your life. It is a beautiful thing that you recognize your need for Him—this is where true transformation begins. The Scriptures remind us that apart from Christ, we can do nothing, but through Him, we are more than conquerors (John 15:5, Romans 8:37). Your heart’s cry to understand His Word and hear His voice is one He will surely honor, for He promises that when we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

First, let us address the struggle with bad habits and wrong thoughts. These battles are not fought in our own strength but by the power of the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul teaches us in Romans 12:2, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This renewing comes through immersing yourself in Scripture, which is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), and through prayer, which aligns your heart with God’s. When tempting thoughts arise, take them captive and replace them with truth (2 Corinthians 10:5). Ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit so that the fruit of self-control (Galatians 5:22-23) grows in you. Bad habits often stem from deeper wounds or unmet needs—bring these to Jesus, who heals and satisfies (Psalm 147:3, Matthew 5:6).

As you step into this new venture, we encourage you to commit it entirely to the Lord. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Seek His wisdom in every decision, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). Ask Him to open doors no man can shut and to close those that are not His will (Revelation 3:8). Remember, success in God’s eyes is not measured by worldly standards but by faithfulness and obedience to His call. Whether this venture flourishes or faces challenges, trust that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).

You mentioned being a single son of the Father—what a precious identity! In this season of singleness, we urge you to steward it well, for it is a unique opportunity to devote yourself wholeheartedly to the Lord (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). If marriage is a desire of your heart, pray for a godly wife who loves Jesus above all and seek to become the kind of man who reflects Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:25). But even now, cultivate contentment in Christ alone, for He is enough (Philippians 4:11-13). Guard your heart and mind in this area, fleeing from sexual immorality and impurity (1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5), and pursue holiness in all things.

To understand God’s Word better, we recommend starting with prayer—ask the Holy Spirit to be your teacher (John 14:26). Read Scripture daily, even if it’s just a few verses, and meditate on them (Psalm 1:2). Join a Bible-believing church where you can grow under sound teaching and fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:24-25). Consider studying topics systematically, such as the character of God, the life of Christ, or the fruits of the Spirit. Journal what you learn and how the Lord speaks to you through His Word.

Hearing God’s voice requires intimacy with Him. Jesus said, *"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me"* (John 10:27). Spend time in quietness before Him, worshipping and listening. His voice often comes as a still, small whisper (1 Kings 19:12), through Scripture, godly counsel, or circumstances aligned with His Word. Test what you hear against Scripture—He will never contradict Himself.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for our brother, who humbly comes before You seeking transformation, wisdom, and a deeper walk with You. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of bad habits and wrong thoughts in his life. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in self-control, purity, and victory over sin. Renew his mind daily with Your truth, and let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105).

Father, we commit this new venture into Your hands. Guide his steps, open doors of opportunity, and grant him wisdom to make decisions that honor You. May this season be marked by Your favor and glory, not for his own gain but for the advancement of Your Kingdom. Teach him to trust You in every outcome, knowing You are sovereign over all.

Lord, we pray for his singleness. If it is Your will for him to marry, prepare him now to be a godly husband and leader. Surround him with godly mentors and friends who will sharpen him (Proverbs 27:17). If marriage is not Your plan, grant him deep contentment and purpose in You alone. Protect his heart from temptation and impurity, and let him pursue holiness in every area of his life.

Father, we ask that You give him a hunger for Your Word. Open his eyes to see the wonders in Your law (Psalm 119:18), and let Your truth dwell richly in him. Teach him to hear Your voice clearly, and give him discernment to recognize Your leading. May he grow in intimacy with You, knowing You not just as Savior but as Father, Friend, and King.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to distract, discourage, or derail our brother. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that he is more than a conqueror, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Clothe him in Your armor, Lord, that he may stand firm in the day of battle.

Finally, Father, we thank You that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). May he walk in the confidence of Your love, knowing that nothing can separate him from You (Romans 8:38-39). We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, brother, as you seek the Lord's help to overcome bad habits and wrong thoughts. It's encouraging to see your desire to understand His word better and hear His voice in your life. Let's keep praying and supporting you together.

As we continue to lift you up, we want to emphasize the importance of surrender. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Surrendering your struggles to Jesus allows Him to work in your life and bring about true transformation.

We also want to remind you of the power of community. In Galatians 6:2, we're encouraged to "carry each other's burdens, and in this way fulfill the law of Christ." Consider reaching out to a trusted brother or sister in Christ to share your journey, seek accountability, and pray together. They can provide support, encouragement, and wisdom as you walk this path.

Let's continue to pray for you, asking the Lord to:

- Break every chain of bad habits and wrong thoughts in your life.
- Fill you with His Holy Spirit, empowering you to walk in self-control, purity, and victory over sin.
- Renew your mind daily with His truth, and guide your steps according to His will.
- Open your eyes to see the wonders in His word, and teach you to hear His voice clearly.
- Surround you with godly mentors and friends who will encourage and sharpen you.
- Give you contentment and purpose in Him alone, whether you remain single or marry in the future.
- Clothe you in His armor, protecting you from the enemy's schemes and helping you stand firm in the day of battle.

We trust that as you surrender, seek community, and remain steadfast in your pursuit of Christ, you will experience His transforming power in your life. Keep pressing on, brother, and know that we're praying for you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.
