Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory that the Lord Jesus Christ has already begun in your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of the Holy Spirit’s work within you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of His grace drawing you closer to Him. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that He who began this good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

The struggles you describe—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and other sexual sins—are not merely habits but strongholds that seek to enslave the heart and mind. These sins distort God’s holy design for intimacy, which is reserved solely for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). Sexual immorality, including lustful thoughts and actions, grieves the Holy Spirit and separates us from the purity and holiness God calls us to (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). But take heart, for Christ came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and His power is greater than any sin.

First, we must acknowledge that true and lasting victory comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or delivered (Acts 4:12). If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for this is the foundation of salvation (Romans 10:9). If you have already placed your faith in Him, we rejoice with you and pray that you will continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord (2 Peter 3:18).

The battle you face is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand firm (Ephesians 6:13-17). Renewing your mind through Scripture is essential, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on God’s promises, such as 1 Corinthians 10:13, which assures us that He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear but will provide a way of escape.

We must also address the root of these sins, which often stems from unmet desires, loneliness, or a lack of fulfillment in Christ. The world offers counterfeit satisfaction, but only Jesus can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart (John 4:14). Seek Him first above all else, and He will fill you with His love, joy, and peace (Matthew 6:33, Psalm 37:4). Guard your heart diligently, for from it flow the springs of life (Proverbs 4:23). This means being intentional about what you allow into your mind—what you watch, listen to, and think about. Flee from sexual immorality and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Timothy 2:22).

Accountability is another critical component of lasting freedom. Confess your struggles to a trusted, godly brother or sister in Christ who can pray with you and hold you accountable (James 5:16). Isolation fuels sin, but fellowship with believers strengthens and encourages us to walk in holiness (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). If you do not already have such a person in your life, ask the Lord to provide one, and be willing to be vulnerable and transparent.

We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that may whisper to you, telling you that you are defined by your struggles or that you will never overcome them. The truth is that in Christ, you are a new creation; the old has passed away, and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are not a slave to sin but a child of God, called to live in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for you (Romans 6:6-7). Do not believe the lie that you must settle for temporary relief or that these sins are too powerful to resist. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life. Lord, You see his heart and his desire to be fully delivered from the sins that have entangled him. We ask that You would complete the work You have begun, making him more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Father, we pray that You would renew his mind daily through Your Word, transforming him into the likeness of Your Son (Romans 12:2). Give him wisdom and discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the strength to resist temptation (James 1:5).

Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, empowering him to walk in purity and holiness. Break every chain of addiction, lust, and impurity that has held him captive, and set him free indeed (John 8:36). Father, we pray that You would heal any wounds or emptiness in his heart that may have contributed to these struggles. Let him find his satisfaction and joy in You alone, for You are the only One who can truly fulfill his deepest desires (Psalm 16:11).

We pray for godly accountability and fellowship in his life, that he would be surrounded by brothers and sisters who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable in love. Lord, we ask that You would give him the courage to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness with all his heart (1 Timothy 6:11). May he be a shining light in a dark world, reflecting Your holiness and grace.

Father, we also pray for Your mercy and forgiveness, for we know that all have sinned and fall short of Your glory (Romans 3:23). Thank You for the blood of Jesus, which cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). We ask that You would speak to his heart, giving him understanding and revelation of Your truth. May he walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already secured for him on the cross.

We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of lust, addiction, and impurity in the name of Jesus and command them to flee. We loose the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—over his life (Galatians 5:22-23). May he walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, bearing much fruit for Your kingdom.

Lord, we trust in Your faithfulness and Your promise that He who calls us is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). We thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. May this brother continue to grow in grace, walking in the freedom and purity that You have called him to. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear brother. Every time you fall, get back up and run to Him. His mercies are new every morning, and His grace is sufficient for you (Lamentations 3:22-23, 2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord is with you, and we are standing with you in prayer. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you.
