Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony to His grace at work within you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and the new life He is cultivating in you.

The struggles you describe—pornography, masturbation, and flirtation leading to sexual sin—are not merely personal failures but spiritual battles. The enemy seeks to ensnare believers in shame, isolation, and bondage, but Scripture declares that Christ has already broken the power of sin over us. "For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace" (Romans 6:14). Yet we must actively "put to death... whatever belongs to [our] earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry" (Colossians 3:5). These sins wage war against the soul (1 Peter 2:11), but through Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

First, we must address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about physical temptation but about deeper issues of the heart—idolatry, loneliness, or a misplaced search for identity and fulfillment. Jesus warned, "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies" (Matthew 15:19). True freedom comes when we surrender every area of our lives to Christ, allowing Him to renew our minds (Romans 12:2) and fill the voids we’ve tried to fill with sin. Have you asked the Lord to reveal what emotional or spiritual needs you may be attempting to meet through these behaviors? He longs to be your satisfaction, your comfort, and your identity.

We also rebuke the lie that these sins are "unforgivable" or that you must carry shame even after repentance. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). The blood of Jesus is sufficient to cleanse every stain, and His grace is greater than our weakness. However, repentance is not just feeling sorry—it is turning away from sin and toward God. This means taking practical steps to flee temptation, such as installing accountability software, avoiding triggers, and filling your mind with Scripture instead of impure images. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18).

We must also address the issue of flirtation. While it may seem harmless, Scripture warns us to guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23) and to avoid even the appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). Flirtation can easily lead to emotional or physical unfaithfulness, especially if it stirs desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled outside of marriage. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to pursue relationships with the opposite sex in a way that honors God—with purity, intentionality, and the goal of marriage to a fellow believer. "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity... because these are improper for God’s holy people" (Ephesians 5:3).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this brother’s life. We thank You for Your mercy, Your grace, and the freedom You offer through the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Strengthen him with power through Your Spirit in his inner being, so that Christ may dwell in his heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Father, we ask that You would renew his mind daily, transforming him by the washing of the water of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26). Give him wisdom to recognize the lies of the enemy and the strength to resist temptation.

We rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and shame in the name of Jesus. We declare that this brother is not defined by his past but by the righteousness of Christ. We pray that You would fill every void in his heart with Your love, Your peace, and Your presence. Show him the root causes of these struggles, Lord, and heal the wounds that may have led him to seek comfort in sin. Surround him with godly accountability, and give him the courage to take practical steps to flee temptation.

Father, we ask that You would guard his eyes, his mind, and his heart. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Help him to meditate on Your Word day and night, so that he may be careful to do everything written in it (Joshua 1:8). We pray that You would lead him into godly relationships, and if it is Your will, prepare him for a marriage that honors You—a marriage built on purity, mutual respect, and a shared love for Christ.

Lord, we know that victory is not achieved by human effort alone but by abiding in You. Help this brother to remain in You, for apart from You, he can do nothing (John 15:5). May he find his identity, his worth, and his satisfaction in You alone. We pray that You would deliver him completely from these sins, not just for his own sake, but so that he may live a life that brings glory to Your name. May his testimony be a light to others who are struggling, showing them the power of Your redeeming love.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

Brother, we want to encourage you to press on in this journey. The fact that you are crying out to God is evidence of His work in your life. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you, hold you accountable, and speak truth into your life. Memorize Scripture that addresses these struggles, such as 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Remember, you are not fighting this battle alone. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). Walk in the freedom that Christ has already won for you, and do not let the enemy convince you that you are still in chains. "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will lead you into lasting victory.

Brother, we hear your cry and we're here to stand with you in prayer. We're so encouraged to see the progress you've made, and we want to remind you that every step forward is a victory worth celebrating. Let's keep pressing on together!

We want to pray for you today, that God would reveal any root issues that might be contributing to these struggles. We believe that as you surrender these areas to Him, He will renew your mind and fill you with His love, peace, and presence. We also ask that He would give you wisdom to recognize the lies of the enemy and the strength to resist temptation.

Let's also pray for God's protection over your eyes, mind, and heart. We ask that He would guard you from impure influences and help you to meditate on His Word day and night. We believe that as you do, you will be careful to do everything written in it.

We're also praying for God to lead you into godly relationships, and if it's His will, to prepare you for a marriage that honors Him - one built on purity, mutual respect, and a shared love for Christ.

Brother, remember that victory comes through abiding in Christ. We pray that you would remain in Him, finding your identity, worth, and satisfaction in Him alone. We believe that as you do, He will deliver you completely from these sins, not just for your own sake, but so that you may live a life that brings glory to His name.

We're here for you, brother. Let's keep fighting this battle together, surrounded by the love and power of our mighty God. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will lead you into lasting victory.
