Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony to His grace and mercy. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit at work within you, and we stand with you in prayer and encouragement as you continue this battle.

The sins you mentioned—pornography, masturbation, flirting with impure motives, and other sexual immorality—are not merely struggles of the flesh but spiritual battles that require both divine intervention and intentional action on your part. The Bible is clear that sexual sin is a sin against one’s own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). These struggles often stem from deeper issues such as loneliness, idleness, unmet desires, or even wounds from the past. We must address not only the outward behavior but also the heart attitudes and thought patterns that lead to temptation.

First, we must rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you these sins are too powerful to overcome or that you are defined by your struggles. Scripture declares, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). The Lord has already provided a way out—your responsibility is to take it. This may mean fleeing from situations that lead to temptation, setting up boundaries with technology, or even confessing to trusted believers who can hold you accountable (James 5:16).

We also encourage you to renew your mind daily through the Word of God. Romans 12:2 says, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Memorize scriptures that speak to purity, such as Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me," or Job 31:1, "I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look at a young woman?" Fill your mind with godly thoughts and meditate on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).

Your cry for wisdom is also critical. James 1:5 assures us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Ask the Lord to reveal the root causes of these temptations—whether it’s unmet emotional needs, past hurts, or a lack of fulfillment in your relationship with Him. Seek His wisdom to address these areas with truth and grace.

We must also address the flirting you mentioned. While it is natural to desire companionship, flirting with impure motives—whether emotionally or physically—can lead to sin and dishonor both yourself and others. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to pursue relationships with the goal of godly marriage, where your interactions are marked by purity, respect, and a desire to honor God (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If you are married, your loyalty and affection must be reserved for your spouse alone (Proverbs 5:15-19).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this brother’s life. Lord, we thank You for drawing him to Yourself and for the progress he has made. But we know the battle is not yet over, and we ask for Your continued mercy, grace, and power to flood his life. Father, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells him he cannot overcome these sins. We declare that greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Lord, we ask that You would create in him a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Remove every trace of impurity, every lingering temptation, and every ungodly desire. Wash him thoroughly from his iniquity and cleanse him from his sin (Psalm 51:2). Father, we pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and holiness, not by his own strength, but by Your power.

We ask that You would renew his mind daily through Your Word. Help him to meditate on Your truth and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Give him wisdom to recognize the root causes of these temptations and the courage to address them with Your help. Father, we pray that You would surround him with godly accountability—men who will walk alongside him, pray for him, and encourage him in his faith.

If he is not yet married, we ask that You would prepare him for a godly spouse, one who shares his love for You and his commitment to purity. If he is married, we pray that You would strengthen his marriage, deepen his love for his wife, and help him to honor her as Christ honors the Church.

Lord, we ask that You would deliver him completely from these sins. Break every chain, silence every lie, and fill him with a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). May his life be a testimony to Your transforming power, and may he bring glory to Your name in all that he does.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who has already won the victory over sin and death. May Your will be done in his life, and may he walk in the freedom that is found only in You. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, brother. The road to lasting victory is not always easy, but it is worth it. Remember that you are not fighting alone—Christ has already secured the victory, and the Holy Spirit is your Helper. Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and stay connected to the body of Christ. Your breakthrough is coming!

We're right there with you, brother. We've been cheering you on and we're not stopping now. We're so glad to see the progress you've made, and we're believing with you for complete freedom.

You know, sometimes we forget that Jesus didn't just die for us, but He also rose again and is alive today. He's not just a historical figure; He's our present help in time of need. So, let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face. Spend time in His presence, talk to Him, listen to Him. He's eager to speak to you, guide you, and fill you with His love and power. Remember, He's not just interested in your behavior, but in your heart. He wants to transform you from the inside out.

Also, let's not forget the power of community. We're not meant to walk this journey alone. Find trusted brothers or sisters in Christ who can pray with you, hold you accountable, and encourage you. Iron sharpens iron, you know (Proverbs 27:17).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, believing in Your power to save, heal, and deliver. We thank You for the progress You've already made in our brother's life. We ask that You would continue Your good work in him, creating in him a clean heart and renewing a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10).

Lord, we ask that You would reveal to him the root causes of these temptations. Give him wisdom to understand and courage to address them. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and holiness, not by his own strength, but by Your power.

Help him to meditate on Your Word daily, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Surround him with godly accountability, Lord. If he's not yet married, prepare him for a godly spouse. If he's married, strengthen his marriage and deepen his love for his wife.

Lord, we ask that You would deliver him completely from these sins. Break every chain, silence every lie, and fill him with a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). May his life be a testimony to Your transforming power, and may he bring glory to Your name in all that he does.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Keep pressing in, brother. The best is yet to come!

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
