Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of His grace at work. The fact that you are seeking lasting change for God’s glory is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and power in you. Let us stand together in agreement, lifting you before the throne of grace with boldness, knowing that He who began this good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

We recognize the seriousness of the struggles you’ve named—pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly boundaries, and other sexual sins. These are not merely personal failings; they are distortions of God’s holy design for intimacy, purity, and self-control. The Bible is clear: “Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:18). Sexual sin is uniquely damaging because it defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit, which you are (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)!

We must also address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about physical temptation—it’s about a deeper hunger for intimacy, validation, or escape. The enemy seeks to exploit our weaknesses, but God desires to heal and satisfy us in ways that honor Him. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). Let us pray that the Lord would satisfy your soul with His love, so you no longer seek fulfillment in empty or sinful pursuits.

We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that may whisper to you—lies like “You’ll never change,” “God is tired of your failures,” or “This is just who you are.” These are falsehoods! The Word of God declares, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are not defined by your past; you are defined by the blood of Jesus and His resurrection power at work in you. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives in you and will give life to your mortal body (Romans 8:11).

Let us also encourage you to take practical steps in your walk with Christ. Flee temptation—do not flirt with it or entertain it. Jesus said, “If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into Gehenna” (Matthew 5:29). This is not a call to self-mutilation, but a call to radical action against sin. If certain websites, relationships, or environments lead you into temptation, cut them off. Install accountability software, seek godly counsel, and immerse yourself in Scripture. “How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word” (Psalm 119:9).

We also pray for the renewal of your mind. The battle against sexual sin is often a battle of the mind. Paul writes, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2). Fill your mind with God’s Word, worship, and godly fellowship. Meditate on Scripture that speaks to your identity in Christ: “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me” (Galatians 2:20).

Let us also pray for wisdom and discernment. James writes, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). Ask the Lord to reveal the triggers, patterns, and lies that lead you into sin. Ask Him to show you how to walk in the Spirit so you do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). The Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13).

We also want to address the area of flirting with the opposite sex. While it is natural to desire companionship, we must ensure that our interactions with others honor God and do not lead us or others into temptation. The Bible calls us to treat others with purity and respect: “Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with all purity” (1 Timothy 5:1-2). If your interactions with the opposite sex are leading you into sin or causing you to stumble, it is time to set godly boundaries. Seek relationships that encourage your walk with Christ, not hinder it. Remember, your ultimate satisfaction is found in Christ alone, not in the attention or approval of others.

Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life. Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness, for Your mercy, and for the power of the cross that has set him free. We ask that You would complete the work You have begun in him. Father, we pray for lasting and true transformation—transformation that is not just behavioral, but heart-deep. Renew his mind, Lord, by the washing of Your Word. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may walk in purity, wisdom, and self-control.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You would break every chain of sexual sin in his life. We rebuke the enemy’s lies and declare that he is no longer a slave to sin, but a son of God, free indeed (John 8:36). We pray that You would satisfy his soul with Your love, so he no longer seeks fulfillment in empty or sinful pursuits. Father, show him mercy, speak to his heart, and give him understanding. Reveal to him the root of these struggles and lead him into Your truth.

We pray for wisdom, Lord. Give him discernment to recognize temptation before it takes hold and the strength to flee from it. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship. Help him to immerse himself in Your Word, to meditate on Your promises, and to find his identity in Christ alone. Father, we ask that You would guard his eyes, his mind, and his heart. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10).

Lord, we also pray for his future marriage, if it is Your will. Prepare him to be a godly husband who loves his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Teach him to honor You in all his relationships and to treat others with purity and respect. May his life be a testimony of Your grace and power, drawing others to You.

We declare over him the promise of 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5: “For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God.” Lord, we believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We trust You to complete this good work in him, for Your glory and for his joy.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Help him to identify the root causes of his struggles and to turn away from them. Give him the strength to flee from temptation and the wisdom to make godly choices. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, and help him to immerse himself in Your Word.

Lord, we ask that You would also prepare him for the future. If marriage is Your will for his life, help him to be a godly husband who loves his wife as Christ loves the church. Help him to honor You in all his relationships and to treat others with purity and respect.

We trust in Your power to complete the work You've started in him. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer during this deeply personal struggle. What a powerful testimony of God’s grace already at work in your life—praise Him for the improvement you’ve seen! It is clear that the Holy Spirit is moving, and we rejoice with you in the progress He has already made.

We continue to lift you up, asking the Lord to complete the work He has begun in you. Father, we pray that You would strengthen this dear brother/sister with Your mighty power, that they may walk in lasting victory over temptation. Renew their mind daily with Your truth, fill them with wisdom to recognize and resist the enemy’s schemes, and surround them with godly accountability. May Your mercy and deliverance be poured out in full measure, and may their heart be so captivated by Your love that sin loses all its grip. We ask that You would speak to them clearly, guide their steps, and make their path straight toward holiness.

If the Lord has answered this request in new or unexpected ways, we would be blessed to hear a praise report so we can glorify Him together. If the battle still feels fierce, please know we are still here to intercede on your behalf—do not hesitate to share again so we may continue praying in agreement with you. May the Lord Jesus Christ be your strength, your refuge, and your ever-present help in times of need. We pray all these things in His precious and powerful name. Amen.
